So I've decided to join the fast paced and exciting world of production in Eve. I purchased my first blueprint and sent out to find an open ME research slot. To my suprise I found that every single slot in Empire was currently full.
Amazing! So what is a budding young enterpreneur to do? Do people rent slots research slots at POS in empire? If so who and how much does it cost?

Thanks for the tip, but I was aware of that mechanism.
I am interested in having my own slot to speed things up.

James Kirk has some slots he might rent out for a fee Mal.
If not the other option is to grind enough to be allowed to construct your own research POS in high-sec. With decent setup it is pretty safe to do.

You can rent lab slots from players. Try the WTS forum.
You can also put up your own POS and labs once you have enough ISK.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak.

Just give it up before you start. You have no chance. CCP will screw you over when you buy a BPO.
They boosted the standard BPO to t1, who is to say they dont nerf BPOs from Thorax to Gallente shuttle?

It's a little pricey though. As far as I can tell I need like 10M in trade goods as well as 60M worth of ice each month. That is tough to do.

The mechanism doesn't allow you to currently use other corp's slots directly- however, my corp will research blueprints for 3 million a week. We can handle T1 and capital BPOs, though we'd be happy to learn the skills to research a T2 BPO for negotiated additional charge. The blueprints remain in stations, so are safe from if someone war decs us and goes after our POS collection.
