Hi, I have seen Hostel. It's not by Quentine, he only "presents" it, and is involved in one scene I think. It's actually a very gross, very disgusting horror movie. It's not scary, but it's sick... a bit like the Saw movies, except that Saw has a much more clever story/twist.
Hostel is more about showing you really nasty things being done to people. I actually quite liked it, but don't expect anything spectacular :)

I was disappointed in the film. I don't know if it's years and years of watching horror films, way back with the original video nasties, but it wasn't that shocking to me. I think the remake of The Hills Have Eyes is more shocking and a better film.
I liked that lead female though. Man she was fit.

It was as boring to me as any other gore fest BUT there are some very hot young females which score a few brownie points

eli roth directed and wrote the screenplay for this film, not Tarantino. the 2 minute cameo takeshi miike makes is the only decent part of this film
