I am having problems logging into eve, i keep getting stuck during the loggin in process at acquiring bulk data.
Now, the problem started after i had updated my pc with the updates from the windows site and i have also recently updated my anti virus + internet security. the fire wall is set to allow eve online to run.
I've had a look on the forums for similer cases but i can't find any, i'm just wondering if anyone can help me. I'm not the most computer literate so not too techy replys, simple answers please :D

I am having a similar problem. Two days ago I was playing fine then yesterday I could not log in. The first title screen pops up but does not even proceed to display the username and password textfields, it just freezes at the title screen. My comp is not frozen the game just wont respond, in task manager it says the program is running but I cant get the sign in screen. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and same thing happens. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling again today, but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated!
Regards, Okuma

Hi. After reformatting my HDD and reinstalling drivers I came across this problem as well. However, I think I may have found a solution. If you are all running ATI CCC (Catalyst Control Center) try closing it and see if Eve runs. I've actually noticed a lot of bugs with this program as well as a general decrease in performance. Might want to try Omega drivers or just no CCC.
Good luck

hi. i have some problem 2 days ago. Im afraid, the old problem is back. I think all people here using router to try logging in. Half years ago many peoples got this problem, and ccp fix it under 2 weeks. The only temporary solution ask ur corpmates hes MACHONET folder to send for u copy to proper place and try to logging in. It is wrkin to downtime. After the downtime u need new machonet folder from ur corpmate, or somebody who logged in minimum once after downtime.
Regards

If you are running ATI Tray Tools, try closing it (the ATI icon in the toolbar).

Edited by: Ranalome on 12/11/2006 19:55:34 Same problem here.
Tried deleting the whole Cache folder. Tried Cache folders from two other machines, where it worked. Tried reinstalling. Tried prioritizing the Eve-process. Also tried closing the Nvidia display center. All with no effect.
Luckily, I'm on my trial and haven't extended it to a payed account yet. Too bad, really liked the game and planned on keeping playing it.
Guess I'll reconsider that.

The fresh client I downloaded and installed never worked for me. I copied over my old eve folders and was able to connect using them, luckily.

Originally by: Jozif Edited by: Jozif on 12/11/2006 09:19:45 I try it with other machonet folder and now able to logging in. So the problem is WITH THE MACHONET FOLDER. I got 10 mb machonet folder and im unable to share it atm. All people here who have this problem write petition asap and link this forum to petition. Maybe devs maing fast respose, or we wait again 2 weeks, till something is happening like 6 months ago. (or go shop and buy new router)
It was more like a year ago. Unless it happened again six months ago and I didn't know about it. Anyway, I tried the MachoNet folder from three month old backup and it didn't work. Can somebody post a working MachoNet folder...pretty please. --- You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. using geforce. had same problem. along with disconnects every 5-15min since yesterday. i fixed the bulk date bug, by getting anothers folder. is a download in one of the other post here on the main forum page in bugs..
also the disconnects happens randomly. i run one or two clients (the same, on same comp) and they dont go down at the same time. but randomly.. kinda unplayable..

ok, ive found a solution that worked for me, and it was very similar to all the other solutions that worked before.
i went to the firewall options, and disabled (temporarily) all extra security measures, apart from the basic firewall functions. no way in hell im gonna disable my firewall completely.
then i deleted the cache folder (except prefs.ini, and settings ofc, because i dont want no unnecessary pita) and launched eve.
after eve started just fine, i squelched it, pumped the firewall up again, and now everything runs fine again.

Edited by: SgtStorm on 13/11/2006 19:03:56 You'll have to grab a new working MachoNet folder after each server reboot. Our corp webmaster has been nice enough to offer a link that will have a fresh working MachoNet folder each day. Make sure you give him enough time to log in and get one uploaded after the server comes up each day.

Working MachoNet Folder
Hope it helps. You may still experience frequent random disconnects until CCP gets this sorted, but it will get you in and allow you to change skills, reset factories, corp mgmt, etc.

Just remember, this is only a workaround. Petition and keep it open until the problem is solved or CCP won't know what still needs fixing.

I've got the same problem. Haven't been able to login for a week now. Posted a couple of times but no response.
Bottom line is that I don't think there are enough people getting this problem to make it worth doing anything about..

Got to bump this one.
Never had a log in problem before. Now hangs at "aquiring bulk data" for the past 2 days. Machonet fix doesn't work, deleting Cache doesn't work, re-installing doesn't work, allowing port 26000 doesn't work.
I need help - I can't be the only one....
Come on CCP I'm paying for this.
