Planateer	Posted - 2006.11.11 20:43:00 - [1] Hi Im playing EVE for a more then 2 years now and never had any problems with my connection. I played up to 4 accounts on 1 computer without any problems.. Since 1,5 weeks im getting disconnections a lot and i mean really a lot up to 10 in half an hour... and only playing 1 account.. I used ping plotter and the adress below had a lot of packet loss .. not all the time but very often up to 40% and most off the time around 10%.. 213.75.1.169 iawxsrt-dc2-bb21b.wxs.nl i'd like to know if more planet internet users experience this problem if so maybe we could contact planet internet etc about this.. It seems to be one of their own hubs, or how do you call it. If anyone else knows how to solve this problem plz let me know .. Greetings Planateer

maria stallion Destructive Influence Band of Brothers	Posted - 2006.11.11 22:06:00 - [7] the problem started after the eve hardware upgrade, a britisch telecom provider keeps dropping the connection or soemthing. http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=422634 eve haven't responded yet on petitions, but it's for sure the problem is with eve and not with planet internet.

Federation	Posted - 2006.11.11 23:10:00 - [11] I'm on the KPN netwrk (xs4all) and I don't seem to have any problems, when I do a trace route I do pass ae-1-0.bbr1.London1.Level3.net .. but no problems. I don;t go through 213.75.1.169 iawxsrt-dc2-bb21b.wxs.nl though. I guess the only thing you can do is contact your isp (planet), though that's always a pain.. :\ ---------------

maria stallion Destructive Influence Band of Brothers	Posted - 2006.11.12 00:30:00 - [15] I doubt it's a problem on planets side, all planet networks look fine and stable, the problem started right after the hardware upgrade thingy and the connection loss starts at ccp's end which could be something like a routing issue maybe? eve is not completly unplayable, but don't use drones, fighter or do complexes since you won't make it through a hour without losing the connection to eve.

It seems KPN is transfering or upgrading network from adsl to adsl2 network or something... the server in amsterdam: ae-0-54.mp2.Amsterdam1.Level3.net seems to be the problem. Connection resets about 10 seconds.. every time. So tommorow (13/11) i have some phone calls to make...... Ill be sending CCP, planet internet, kpn (all of them) some pingplotter logs too. Hoping they can give me an answer or timeframe. I played almost 3 years without any problems and i want to play like that once more greetings planateer

Though, this only happens with EVE and not when i'm playing for example, Trackmania Nations. So I guess there must be something wrong on EVE's side, or the route towards Iceland. ___________ Calling CCP: Give us a face!

I have Eve running in the background all day and have had no unexpected disconnections at all in the past few weeks, other than the couple of times there have been node crashes and everyone has lost connection. Now CCP have added additional self-homing links to their servers recently (as part of their hardware upgrades during in the 24 hour long extended downtime recently), it's possible one of the new connections is a bit shaky, making connections from people in certain geographical locations unreliable.

Linkage All the hops give me a 100% packetloss, except the first and last. Same here with google.com or any other site.
