We complain because either that guy is hiding in our system, or that guy hiding in your system ISN'T A THREAT.
Well the real reason is it's an illusion of sorts, even if the guy has nothing people see him as a whole army ready to strike. You only have him in local as your information that he exists, and then there's the potential for ships out of nowhere from that guy.

In fact they even made fake airfields and tanks that were actually inflatable too in order to trick Germany into thinking a large force was on the ready when it really didn't exist.
We complain about a lot of mechanics like afk cloaking, or how people treat wardeccing when you have to realize it mirrors real life, instead of being handed some simple quest like WoW or EvE mission running.
People could adapt but intead they complain, i've seen games in all shapes and forms where people always have something to complain about. If you removed wardecs and made highsec invulrable the next thing would be they get blown up to easilyin lowsec so they can't have the rewards. It exists now but those complaints aren't as loud as they would be, because they aren't the main complaint at the moment.
There is a game company of 4 brothers whom have made games I like to play on my ipod. Their games are difficult and people love them for it. Instead of being spoonfed. Well i'm sort of off topic at this point so go ahead and post your opinions :P
Dun'Gal > Hal is simply an imperfect ai, though if drunkeness ever gets programmed into ai's I foresee both a hilarious and tragic end to humanity.
