I've refrained in the past from commenting on the launcher... but enough is enough. I've been trying 5 minutes now just to get the launcher to work so I can actually LOG IN to my account. It takes 5-10 tries just to get the entire launcher screen to load, then when it finally does I get asked AGAIN for the name of one of my characters THEN I get stuck with the greyed out play button with nothing downloading and have to start the entire infuriating process over again. Rarely have I ever seen something so broken. Fix it or put it in the garbage as a failed idea.

Low and behold I try to log in again tonight and I go through it allllllllllllllllll over again. Why is it so hard to start a program?

Change the language on the Launcher to one that's not the usual, then back to say, English. Sometimes this will jumpstart it into finishing to load and allow a login.
No guarantees mind you, but an occasional temporary fix.

Memo!: Sometimes you have to keep the mouse cursor over the Launch window for Anything to update, recheck, etc. So if the language switch does help you, keep that pointer very close or it just might have you waiting multiple minutes anyways...
11 try's with no luck then I try this (the language change) and BAM yellow bar and ready to go. FIX IT.

The launcher wont let me play tonight either. I enter my account password and it just stays grayed out. The bar at the bottom says Creating patch 0.0%
Edit: It suddenly started working after 10 minutes of the launcher being open. I did nothing on my side O.o
