Now, a great deal has been made of how both sides are uninterested in an actual fight, and prefer to POS-hug. Meh. But at last, we have some proof that this is what -A- set up their ships to do.
There's no reason to fit 1), unless you expect to only go out ganking one or two ships; in a fleet, you cannot possibly manage to find four targets of the right race, lock four secondaries of the right race in case the first four warp out, and keep your weapons hot on the primary/secondary. Even if you could, the four enemies that you're jamming about half the time are going to be blowing the **** out of you the other half of the time.
With regards to 2), the only reason to fit a 20km point and a mwd on a ship that's going to be called primary first in every fleet engagement it enters is if you don't expect to use it in a fleet engagement. A Rook has a targeting range of over 200km; it's a standoff snipe-jammer. Putting a point and an mwd on it shows that you intend to get in close and gank a cruiser or two, probably with fighters assigned. That's fine, but ganking != fleet combat.
Finally, two warp core stabs. 'nuff said.

Murukan hit it more or less on the head (got the story from Frools and GO MaZ, I'm guessing). We left due to friction and frustration between AXE leadership and us; the only role aAa played in this was being the backdrop that highlighted these points of contention. The character and style of our corp "outlook" proved inimical to that of AXE command, and in the end it was probably best that we left - for all parties involved.
We certainly wish them all the best, and we don't doubt for a moment that they're going to destroy the invader and remain in control of Impass when all is said and done. It's just that our relationship with AXE had become something that could only be described as dysfunctional, so we cut ourselves loose.
All that aside, we're very excited about our future - it'll be good for us to establish more of an independent corporate identity.

First, yep NoQ left due to internal differences (some of them have stayed in AXE corps fyi - props to them). However, since the war has begun three new corps have joined the empire. We welcome CyberDyne Industries, Dark Empire Fleet and Supero Omnia. Mad Props to RISES to coming out and playing with the big boys in impass as well :)
When you spin it like that Evil Thug really needs an ASBO banning him from posting badly writen, self important crap on the forums.

Glad to hear that they're just spewing their usual brand of falsity. S'what I get for believing for a moment that they might be doing this BoB-style with a grain of truth at the heart of all they're saying, I suppose. 
And Chip, it's not so much that we really had a problem being told what our overall goals were...that's part of being in an alliance; that's fine. The problem was the serious vibe given off by high-level elements of AXE leadership that screamed "you do this our way or you can just GTFO", and we had problems with that when we did not see the wisdom in such methods. We often felt like that if we went about pursuing these overall goals in manners we felt best suited us and our capabilities, we would be chastised for it somewhere down the line (and this happened more than once). Fault us for the lack of unconditionality if you like, but we generally like to know why we're doing something this way or that, how it will help us achieve strategic goals better, etc. Tactical engagements are another thing of course, and in the end I guess the iron dictatorship of Steel Rat over AXE is something we didn't realize the implications of until it was too late.
We're - justifiably, I like to think! - proud of our corp's aggressive Tlan and zeal to engage & destroy the enemy no matter the circumstances, believing as we do that there's always a way to make the enemy bleed regardless of force disparity; it was a rather unpleasant sensation for us to constantly feel like that initiative and drive was something that certain parties wanted to be flogged out of us. It's a terrible thing to be chewed out for something that you consider is one of your best and most admirable traits, you know?
