If there ever is such a thing I saw it Saturday night.
I lost my ship, now you all sit there and say so, I lost my ship and never felt the need to post. Well the reason I felt the need to post is because I was so enraged at the fact I lost it due to my stupid PC not killing a pop up that it booted me out the game mid fight. Now I would have been ok losing my ship to rats, which would never happen and I would have been OK losing it PvP but such a stupid thing has realy ****ed me off.
I have a question though, has anyone else felt so much rage about such thing in the game? When I say rage I mean on the verge of destroying something?
Note. For all who think I am having a dig at any styles of play or the game itself during this posting I am not. I just need to know others have felt my pain. Call it therapy of a sort!!.

No not really, a bit annoyed at most but never so mad that I want to break stuff for a computer game.
Althought I've had blind rage when I keep letting my car stall...

I know what you mean.
I wandered into 1.0 space with a -ve sec status and got shot to **** by the cops.
Looked around on CCP website to see if I did something really dumb because I thought you were safe until I got to -5.
Nothing was found on this website so I petitioned and the ******* GM's just said "sorry it's not on the website, we'll be adding this shortly. You can't have your ship back as it's not a bug".
******* GM's never gave me my stuff back and this was like 2 months ago. I have only just started playing more than 10mins per day recently.
It blows real bad but eventually you'll get over it!

strange lack of posts, Computer games make me shout and brawl....
every missed deal in eve, every wayward pass in ISS Pro Ev 3, every Headshot i receieve in Counterstrike, every routing peasent in MTW wants to make me swear shout and generally stomp on things...

As you know Pychian I feel your pain. A couple of months ago I lost 2 ruptures in 3 days both as a result of CTD's.
However did I get mad? Did I end up shouting and thorwing things at the screen? Did I threaten to quit eve forever?
Of Course I ****ing did!

ive never got so ****ed off at the game to break stuff. but it definately ruins your day if some stupid **** happens. like when the time i clicked on dock and went AFK for 7 hours, and then came back to see that my corpmates podded me ;) that was quite upsetting....

It doesn't matter if it's about a game or not.
If you lose something you invested time in to something that seems really unfair or abnormal, you're bound to get emotional about it.
If you worked a horrible job for a year just to buy a new car and then the next day some moron drops a bucket of paint on it you will feel the same way :)

It's certainly understandable, since you invest a lot of time in Eve.
Only time I had a rage was with a soccer game called 'Kick Off', way back in the Amiga/Atari ST days (yea..I'm an old fart ;) ).
Very fast paced, and loads of fun esp. against another player.
After losing yet another match coz of a decidedly dumb move on my part (the other guy was good tho), I picked up the floppy collection box and...only to come to my senses and not throw it against the wall.

Frustrating having to fly back to empire space to pick up a new tempest and then the waste of time replacing those 'trade' channel modules. Even worse is losing an indy in 0.0. Nightmare replacing those expanders.

I don't want this to turn into a CCP bashing as I accept the faults as they are and still enjoy the game whole heartedly.
My point and question was I couldn't believe how much of a rage I got into at such a small thing. I know I can be a little hot headed and rash in my judgements and decisions but my anger on this occasion really did make my blood boil and I was so wanting to seek some sort of retribution on someone but decided to log instead.
To be quite honest I am disappointed in my reaction as it is only a game and not like I am down anything really. I am now calm and hoping to rebuilt my former ship back glory.

Not the loss of material things make me feel that way but the loss of time when ...
Imagine, you get a request from a corp mate, say for a large gun or a ship, you stop what you were about to do, heed back a dozen jumps, grab the minerals needed, start the batch only to hear "Oh, sorry, well, I am 35 jumps out ... will make it later"

I laughed my @rse off at this one - because that game was the most infuriating and addictive game I have EVER played. I must have destroyed 5 joystics due to the masterpiece!
