hey all,
i was chatting on corp chat and i was trianing interceptors lvl 4. i stopped to train a quick skill and my evasive manuvering lvl 5 dropped to lvl 4 with 77% out of no where! i couldnt keep training interceptors lvl 4 at that point. Has anyone run into this problem? It killed my only fun toy.......

only thing i can think of that would do that is being podded with out a fully up to date clone. and if you werent podded, submit a petition.

This appears to be a very common bug, that may cause many to ragequit. One of my corp mates has a 3 week old petition over this and it's getting really itchy to me. What actually happened is i hit a lagg spike while aborting my interceptor lvl 4 training process and it counted me as dead with out a clone and sent me a clone activation mail. I was still docked and in my interceptor (as i am now) but with out the ability to continue training. I trying relogging and many other methods suggested, but in all honesty this is a coding error. I spent 1 month to fit that ship properly and 1 month to be able to even use it and by the third month, it's cost me $50 us dollars to fly an interceptor wich i can no longer use, and i dont feel like wasting more time relearning skills when i have to compete with older players... You can see my feelings towards EVE at the momment.

A petition is all you can do m8, and they will get addressed some time, so hang on there if you can... otherwise retrain those skills and see what'l happen

A friend of mine got podded with an up-to-date clone and lost a good chunk of her Cruiser lvl5. My friend never got an EVE mail to explain losing cruiser lvl5 and petitions were useless.
Good luck to you though 
I wish CCP had the balls to police their game. They probably prefer the income to having a decent game. |

My friend had the same issue - loosing BS lvl5, but still able to fly a dread about.
Until I asked him to check his wallet for clone transactions - Turns out his account was hacked, and CCP delt with it appropriately from there, with a happy result for my friend.
Another thing is, say, having a clone that stores 10milsp, and yourself having 9,999,999 sp already trained and you start training up BS lvl5 or whatever - the game does not update your SP total untill you abort or complete a skill, so you end up with over the clone limit without relising it :)

I had this problem when in my first few weeks (not that long ago). I started at 70% on Cursier 4 and when it completed after the amount of time it didn't update and stayed at 70%. I tried re-training in the skill and when it did it took 1 second and was complete and updated.

This is an old bug, which appears not regularly, but from time to time. Hit me a few times within the 2.5 yeras im playing now with 2 charachters. It can appear when a skill is completed, or when a skill training is aborted. In my case it always happened on skill completion.
This bug don't cost you any time or skillpoints if you follow some rules when it appears:
1. Don't panic!
2. Don't continue or restart the affected skill! the bug only affects the status bar, not the skill itself when it appears. seems to be a server/client sync problem. but if you try to continue the skill, you restart it from the prewvous level - then the time and sp are lost, so don't touch it now. I even don't start any other skill when the bug happens.
3. Restart your client. After logging back in skill status should be correct. That always worked for me.
