Edited by: Celticjim on 14/11/2006 20:35:32 This post is funny.
It makes me laugh.
Basically, after being taken for a ride again and defending someone I shouldn't have, I wouldn't trust Calc around my dog, never mind my wife.
Unfortunately, I think official post is forthcoming, but irl connectivity issues is making that troublesome atm.

(edit) Just a reminder TSO folks, keep off this thread, and don't start new ones.

Edited by: Crystal Starbreeze on 14/11/2006 20:49:43 Just make sure that when an official post comes out that it provides proof of accusations. And proof is hard proof not one persons word. I just hope boliknar is informed about the rules...get a handle on your corp mates.
OH P.S. I saw the Red horizon kill boards....seems the little whiner Boliknar is upset because Calculon et all blew up his Tempest last night. If that isnt motive to spread misinformation i dont know what is.

Edited by: Boliknar on 14/11/2006 21:02:48 Hmm maybe you should learn to read it was a Typhoon... And Could not care less about the loss of the ship. If i didnt want to lose it wouldnt be flying it in low sec. Certianly would not have engaged their corp at a station. Maybe you should get your facts straight before attempting to flame someone you have not a single clue about.

Oh and Crystal what would you consider hard proof?... There is no such thing in EVE...I can only post the facts as I have percieved them to happen...Everyone on this forum has to make up their own minds.

Edited by: UberBrooksie on 14/11/2006 21:16:08 Heh Bol,speaking of "facts" remember we fired first, engaging you at the station we you attempted to warp in on us. Then you charged striaght at a group of snipers with your AB buring from 80km away, at 75km you had 0 transversal an i was hitting with Tremor for 350-600 a pop...those are the facts. Hears another....I hope you have lots of 'Phoons pal because you will need them.
PS. Bearclaww when it comes to corp theift there is no hard proof unless the thief is terribly stupid. Instead we get these accusations. And now BSUN is all thiefs, well i wanted a war with TSA its a shame they chose for the pretense to be false.

I prolly will. Like you said lag sucks. But when ya get called primary by 3-4 guys with a combined 10-12 years game exp and your less than 1 year your gonna pop. Anyway that was fun thats what the game is all about. And I appreciate the lack of smack in local. As for numbers being 40-4 i wish that was true when i warped in.
Anyway I dont have an endless supply of ships ( we dont have 26 billion in financing) but your welcome to keep shooting the ones i have.

Alright, I'm going to keep this short. Brooks, Bear, Crystal, I appreciate the words guys, but let's just let that part of the thread die, as it's not really conducive to anything other than more flames.
At the end of the day people, here is what it comes down to...
For those who aren't involved in the situation, or don't know the parties involved, there will be one of three reactions:
1) Whoa, thief! 2) Whatever, proof please. 3) Drama.
For those who know all the parties involved in the situation, or are directly involved themselves, there will be one of two reactions:
1) OMG THIEF! 2) lol. As if he'd do something like that.
I've already seen it play out in-game in the five days since I supposedly "took the dread." The people who don't know me well are ambigious. The people who know me well and dislike me stand and shout, "SEE! SEE!" The people who know me well and like me smile, laugh, roll their eyes, and continue on with business as usual.
I'm content knowing that my friends will continue to stick by me, and my enemies will continue to shoot me. If something like this honestly makes a few of my friends question the relationship that we have, then that's their business and who could fault them for it. But I would hope that each of them knows me well enough to know that I may rub people the wrong way at times, I may be an ass on occasion, but taking a dreadnought like this just isn't something that I'd do.

Hey Chuckles...thanks for your post. I will be certain to entertain when we put up an official post it adheres to your standards. I furthermore appreciate your dictates on getting a "handle" our corp mates to again adhere to your standards of acceptable policy.

Another char of mine had a war against TSA recently and relieved Boliknar of a battleship. He didnt go badmouthing us on the forums. In fact, he struck me as the type of person who would get his facts straight before making accusations.

When I heard that Calc was accused of stealing a dread, I couldn't believe it. And guess what? I still don't. Although I don't know any facts about the problems with TSA, I can provide my opinion of Calc. Calc was my FC in SHLT, and for what its worth, he is an amazing individual. I can't count the times he patiently explained to me how to PvP, guided me through the process, or answered my noobish questions. When Calc was designing special ops groups in SHTL, he asked me to train for EW. When I had sufficient skills, from out of the blue Calc gave me his own Scorpion. I named that ship "Ghost of Calc" and I still have it after all this time. I have seen Calc rush in to aid others when we were in SNU together, risking his own arse to help someone else. As far as I'm concerned, Calc and Jawhn are the best Eve has to offer. Carl Sagan once said that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence--accussing Calc of stealing anything is about as extraordinary as you can get. Calc is top-notch, and always will be in my book.

I can say its a real shame that the Calculon that some people have been describing never joined our corp. Seems he would have been a blast to have around and maybe could have taught us alot. Oh well missed opportunities, even if in a game setting, are always sad.

This is a typical post about Calculon he gets accused, a bunch of people defend him, the post gets closed and goes away. Calculon moves on to his next victims... I think some of the people who defend him are part of setting people up....

Calculon is nothing more than a pirate, and a bad one at that. To see that he stole a dreadnought is really not a surprise at all. It fits right in with a irrational, backstabbing persona that has followed him wherever he has gone and tainted all his ventures, and left devastation in his wake for all those foolish enough to trust him.

Edited by: Senlathial on 15/11/2006 01:52:46 So let me make sure I understand what occurred.
Cal was the last one to fly the dread. He puts it into the corp hanger, but puts it into a hanger only officers can take from. An officer notices the mistake, does he announce that the dread is in the wrong hanger in a public chat? Are you suggesting that after Cal had already put the dread away (and logged off?) that he picked it up again? Food for thought: If some other officer noticed the dread was in the wrong hanger, any sane person would expect that the officer would transfer it to the correct hanger then and there, instead of leaving it in a bad place. If he did transfer it, then he was the last person with the Dread.
It could also be that announcing the dread is in the wrong hanger would lead to someone else to take advantage of the situation.
I'm just having a hard time following what you think happened, that he put it back in a hanger and then picked it up again to steal it? Why not steal it the first time? That story doesn't make sense--and when stories don't make sense I tend to think they are wrong.
Please post some evidence.

Look, he took the Dread out of the Director's hanger which he KNOWS is the most secure. He put it back in the officer's hanger, which he KNOWS is much less secure, and notified a junior officer with limited roles that couldn't take it out of there if he tried. It was done very late at night and he could have easily logged back on later and removed it without a sole noticing. Those are the facts. Hope you can follow that better.
