Hi all,
I mistakenly said "no" to the DED transmissions subsciption message during the tutorial. I now get empty windowed messages. I have reset the tutorial and tried again with no luck. I don't really want to start a new character....Can I reset this somehow?

this sounds like a bug even though i have to admit i got no clue what that message you answered with 'no' could have been about.
you get empty windowed messages when doing what?

When entering deadspace and there's badies about...DED sends me a blank transmission?

I was half hour into the game...with big wide eyes. A message came up asking for a fee to accept database transmissions, from DED I presume.

Empty database messages are a display bug and happen quite often. Usually it's just a warning of what the dead space complex contains. Not much can be done about them afaik.

The good news is that the last patch 14-11-06 seemed to reset the issue.

if the patch sorted it for you i'm glad to hear so
please igf you think it's a bug and this seems to be one (not a mjor though) don't forget to file a bug report.
