EVETV has broadcast Live from two events now. The 2nd Alliance Tournament in the summer, and the FanFest '06. Both times the stream was ripped and hosted by viewers, which we really appreciate. We record everything we stream, but it amounts to hundreds of gigabytes of raw material; people like Chribba and N'olive can really make our lives easier, and by giving people access to the recorded streams really make EVETV more accessible to the public.
To download any part of the 2nd Alliance Tournament, go to EVE Files in a specially created area and select which section you want.
To see some of the more recent footage from the FanFest '06, there's a forum post with most of the stream divided up into manageable sections.
As more becomes available, it will become linked here. Thank you to all the people who make the distribution so much easier.

Making copies available for download as soon as we're done is a big task, one too big for our crew of four people. Last time round downloads were available from people who ripped the stream and made it available themselves, but for various reasons that looks not to be happening this time round. The EVETV guys run in at 9am, and finish the day at 10pm, so there's little time left to make the stream available to people for download.

That's not really a good excuse, I mean, there must be volunteers around available for this kind of thing, that'll do that for free, and it's just a matter of hosting the stream so.

I understand that it might take a while, but you don't need to edit it or anything. Just send a recording of the whole show to someone who can host it or get it started on torrent, and that way people can watch the whole thing and find the fights themselves.

After taking another few good looks at this: You're a camera God. The intro Phoon lighting up from battle explosions, the Abbadon 7 laser salvo, the mad drone clusters, the closeups from the Raven transforming into a wreck ... amazing. Are you using a REGULAR EvE client?
I also liked what you chose for focus for each battle - mostly special ships, "Ah right, that was the first Abbadon battle", but sometimes also on strategies (like drone or NOS fests or the failed bumpage attempt from the Mach).
Hmm, here's a thought: would it break the nice flow too much - or be too much effort given you did all this in the middle of the night - to add something like a very brief results indicator? Just crossing out one of the team names maybe?

Updated my previous post with the Saturday's action recap video shown today. "MC at the Fanfest" Part 1 will also be available to download tonight for the truly faithful (its a big file  ).
And thank you for the kind words Smagd, Xyliana asked for the same with some sort of results indicator after the first video, last night however I couldn't find a good results list and just didn't have the time/energy to sort out some graphics for it. But I'll bring that change in for next weekend.

As nice as they may look edited I'd much rather see whole fights up close so that you see what's going on, the live feed leaves much to the imagination.

Hey, these people don't need to be doing this at all. Be grateful we even have the OPPORTUNITY to watch streaming video of tournaments, let alone DL the streams for later.
That said, is there any particular reason you guys use .wmv? Surely there's an AV codec with greater compression levels.

Ohh, please make Torrent of the show after they have been aired, maybe try a quality splitt. See if people will rather download a high qualaty large file or compromise. Basicly I don't care much for the size, I'm patient. took me 3 months to download the Tournament, and I haven't even seen more then the first day so far. But I really need to, which is why I still have all the files, even share it on the mule.
But I'm migrating from mule to torrents, and it seems a lot of people are, besides "piratebay" is a good place to find stuff like this, admitted, alot of crap too like illegal downloads, but I've grown to look aside from that, I believe others have to.
I promise anything Eve-TV related found, and downloaded will be stored on my file server (100gb's) after the FIFO concept, got lots of room still, and if I should host files, just tell me how to make the torrents... Of course it's a slow connection, but it's endless and forever...
Now off to cleanse the drives

I would also LOVE to see EVETV coverage from the alliance tournaments again.. Saw the torrents on piratebay, but they were not seeded at all so not being able to download..
Does anyone know where you can get files with the EVETV shows from the alliance tournaments?
