Also, can't stress this enough: put you enemies in you buddies list so that you know when they enter local. It's one of the sure fire ways to know when hostiles are around.
The 3 members of the corp are: Agent x69 (CEO) [Born: 2006.08.21] Devian 666 [Born: 2006.04.30] Sean Dillon [Born: 2005.09.29]
Add them to your buddylist by searching for the pilotname in your People and Places then right click and add to buddylist - you get a helpful green light in the local window whenever they are in system with you.
There are probably in an Australian/UK type timezone The CEO is most likely a secondary account as his own alt Agent x9 is older than the character who is CEO of the corp
Hope this helps.

Don't get too stressed.
You are not an idiot, or a bad leader as some these other people have suggested. You are a leader facing the challeges within eve.
One of which is that when we haven't actually liberated your ore having your members threaten to blow holes in my corp mates ship when he hasn't done anything to you, people will get annoyed. A war dec is our method of expressing annoyance.
There is some good advice in this thread so read it and consider it. Cool an orange sig |

But please don't treat me like an idiot, I know all about role-playing games and the activities the go with them, I've played a fair few. I like EVE and want to stick with it, but when experienced players declare war on an inexperienced Corps in full knowledge they can wipe the floor with us, it leaves me somewhat dismayed with the organisation of the game and the ethics of those playing it. All I can say is if you have to sink to this level of play than you must seriously suck at the game, and you know who you are!
Don't worry about it guys, I see how it works, new players are fodder for experienced players. Makes perfect sense when you think about it. But here's the thing, we won't be new for long, and when we're ready, you had better stay out of my way! Again, you know who you are. You have been warned. This Corps will not tollerate any attack on it's members or it's assets. We will fight and fight hard. I have but one thing to say, Summer 1940...Battle of Britain.
Read my sig, it pretty much sums it up. Pirating can be very fun, as long as you are pirating against good or more established corps. Pirates going after 3 week old players are no pirates, they are griefers imo. They are not interested in a challenge, they just want to make your life difficult. But this war does not look like very experienced players going after a week corporation (unless they are all alts).
Anyway, PVP is a crital element to the survival of your corporation. My advice is just get in some frigates and learn to pvp as best you can. I would not hide as others are suggesting. I agree with Bob on this one, your attitude is a good one, just let it show on the battlefield

We're not griefing, we're teaching people not to threaten people going about minding their own business. We only war dec for a reason.

Edited by: XoPhyte on 16/11/2006 00:04:51 You are correct, I do not know the details and was simply going on what the OP said, and therefore this war may very well be justified. Either way they should fight back imo . It is a good lesson for everybody. Just as long as this is truly a justified war and not just greifing a new corp for kicks (and I have no problem with pirating or war decing a more established corp without provication), I just think greifers in general suck for the newer players.

should your war go badly, although considering ur aggressors are equally new you should stand and fight there is one option everyone here has failed to choose? Go to corporations tab, click wars, right click on ur war and hit surrender, after 24 hours war will be over, nothing stops them from war deccing again but it is an option.
P.S Ive never used this button, just from exploration ive found it.

Tough break Kara. Its not usually fun when you're new to the game and someone else ruins your fun. However, as other people have said, you can turn this into an opportunity for pvp growth if you so wish. Fight back with cheap ships and it won't hurt so much. You may or may not get blown up more often than your enemy, but if you try to learn as much as possible from each encounter, then that knowledge and experience will come back to pay for itself many times over.
If you're interested, Agony Unleashed has been teaching pvp classes to new players and new pvpers alike for about 10 months now. They teach players the dynamics of pvp and how to fight back in cheap frigates w/out requiring tons of money or skillpoints. One important thing especially that students walk away with is convidence for pvp. After the experiences from a class or two, your wardeccing enemies won't seem so bad and, who knows, you may find yourself enjoying the war.

Don't get discouraged. Good luck with your war and whatever course of action you may decide on.

Kara,
Please do not be discouraged by those who have declared against you. The PVP classes are a great suggestion. I do not agree with the idea of forming a new corporation. It sends the community the wrong message. Running and hiding is simply the wrong approach in EVE.
Stand up for yourself in a dignified manner and be counted. My best advice is to buy cheap frigs and cruisers and try a little PVP. It does not require many skills to be effective. I speak from personal experience. Remember to fly what you can afford to lose.
Drop me a line if you need help. I can help arrange logistics for you and provide ship fitting advice. But please remember, this is still a game. Comparing it to real life might indicate this is not your cup of tea.

That's the spirit!
War and conflict is the lifeblood of EVE. Whether or not you intend to be passive or aggressive, you will eventually have to face the reality that EVE thrives on conflict.
New players have the least to lose and the most to gain from war. Learn to live with the chaos and embrace it. In time, when you go farther from the core, the corporations on the outside will welcome you with the thunder of guns and the warmth of atomic fire.

Greeting Kara,
Being tired of hearing about this sort of thing I want to make a couple of observations and a few suggestions.
There are real pirates and mercenaries in the universe.
Do not confuse them with the smack-talking, ADD-suffering, banned-from-CS-aimbot/wallhack using, killboard-obsessed instant gratification types that you seem to be up against. They get thier jollies picking on generally peaceful types for amusement and killboard bragging rights.
**Note**The following really require voice comms in order to be effective (i.e. vent/TS).
1-The folks you are fighting will be suckers for an easy kill. Set up a Q-ship trap (read your history). At it's base level set up bait in a belt with a decently tanked miner/ratter while your other corp members chill in speed/DPS frigates in a safe spot. When the sucker takes the bait in you warp....target...boom boom...Lather..Rinse...Repeat. Trust me when I say they will fall for this or a similar variation on a regular basis .
For even more amusement on your end load that bait ship up with target locking mods and equip jammers/NOS/Web...and watch them whine in local that you cheated .
2-They will also fall for the "I'm a transport ship whose pilot went AFK" trick. Warp your moderately tanked/ECM loaded hauler (again...signal boosters etc are needed to improve lock speeds) through a gate. Decloak and sit there AFK while your fellow pilots are just on the other side of the gate. As soon as the bait is engaged...in you jump...boom...boom...boom...Lather...Rinse...Repeat .
3-If you are clever...track down their logistical trail and gang-bang any haulers/miners. That hurts hard when all they get from killing you is a killmail while you suck the ISK wallet dry.
4-Don't say a WORD in local. They are trying to rile you up...ignore it. Win/lose...beyond perhaps saying "good fight" keep your yells of victory or whines of defeat within your own private channels.
5-Peruse the "Crime and Punishment" section of the forum. Not only is it entertaining....but lots of good combat-related ideas are to be found there.
6-Don't worry about killboards. The only use I see for them is to get free intel on your enemies .
7-Most importantly...have FUN fighting back. If the opposition is only a little ahead of you in terms of time ingame and skillpoints they wont be able to deploy more advanced weapons (i.e. covops/interdictors/) and may even be flying big ships without the skills to use them.
Best of luck to you. I am sure you will think of many fun tactics to try. Please post here again and let us know how you make out.
Bone out.......
p.s.It took 4 attempts to post this. These forums are more than a bit bugged to say the least....

This is a rant. While I a sympathetic to the Op's dilemma this thread will degrade into nothing but flames and trolls due to the tone of the original post. If this topic can be posted with a less ranting tone then feel free to post it in that manner - Petwraith ---
