SEC HIT TOO BIG???

roadrage639 Caldari Terror Korps	Posted - 2006.11.15 20:18:00 - [1] Why is the sec hit so bad? From one day of pvpin you can get your sec from 5 to -10 easily.. I don't mind that but it's not ballanced. It takes to long to get your sec up back to 0.0 without 0.0 access. How am I ment to get it up without 0.0 or missions access?? Any advise on getting it up quick would be nice Road The Man Who Runs Will Fight Again

I got to -4.9 once and was trapped in a 0.5 system which had 1 dead-end 0.4 system next to it (which is where I got the sec status), surrounded by +7 and above systems. That was... annoying to say the least. I had to get out, in a pod, use my alt to move my ships and stuff for me and get to the other side of empire space into 0.0 for 2 days in a scorpion, barely fitted, ratting just so i could go to 0.7 systems nearby to get the stuff i needed to really rat, and eventually, with the aide of my corp, settle in 0.0 again and now its back so I can enter empire. Not that I do now though

The whole point of sec is that you are shown as having initiated attacks on people. Sol Flare Caldari The White Star Consortium	Posted - 2006.11.15 20:27:00 - [6] WOW... Pop many pods in low sec space do we??? I've done plenty of low sec fighting and killing... Mostly you take a few hits to the points when you are the first to engage (nothing really - 0.002 I think) and then a bit more if you land the killing blow (can't remember I would have to look it up).. But if you pod someone in low sec.. you are going to be dinged my friend.. and in a big way. If you are at -10 you have a long hill to climb and one that I haven't had to traverse yet so I don't know what you would have to do to get it back up... But you should be able to be in low sec up to .04 to do missions... Advice to live by You've made your bed, now sleep in it.

I'd just like to correct something for you. PVP != Piracy. Piracy is a subset of PVP. Not making a judgement on your playstyle, but there is an important distinction. There is no penalty for PvP'ing in Concord-sanctioned Wars or 0.0.

Oh ya, and if you were poppin' pods... Only once was the gate camped at the plunge (first system in zero). Its really easy to figure it out. Get an alt, fly there and check... If there was hardly any consequences to killing in High Sec then you would see alot of ship deaths.
