Anyone know if player corps can wardec the new faction NPC corps, as part of the faction wars?

That's not how faction warfare will work as far as I know, and faction warfare will not be released in the upcoming Kali patch... patience!

Actually, it was said at the fanfest that is how faction warfare will work - you will join a special NPC corp with active wars with another special NPC corp and duke it out over set objectives.

Ok, so you can't wardec (as in your corp can't) NPC corps, is what you're saying, right?

I don't know about that - that's what the OP is asking too  . I was just correcting you on what faction warfare is (NPC corps you can join with active wars against each other).

I was at the FanFest roundtable on Faction Warfare, and my understanding is that at least initially, you can only participate in FW by quitting your own corp and joining one of the special FW corps (one for each faction). Later, they hope/plan to allow player corps to also participate in FW.

So basically your just joining a new corp thats always at war with 2 other corps, and you have NPC's to help gank the enemys?

Soooo... that's what I was saying: he asked if player corps can wardec NPC corps, I said no, they can't, then you said the same thing, except with a different wording, and yet you say you're "correcting" me? 
Anyway, Tanis Bastar's post would seem to indicate that yes, player corps will/may at some point be able to wardec NPC corps in the context of faction warfare...
So I guess we'll see!

I would say no. If those corps are Decable then you'll have ALOT of RP corps fighting them, which while nice, likely isn't what they have in mind.
I'm looking forward to real factional warfare, not this NPC corp stuff.
