The other day i was talking with some corpmates and they assure me that there is NO WAY to a gang of frigates to take out a battleship (a raven more specifically). I wonder if that is true..
I don't have many experience in pvp.. but i think that 4-5 frigates, fitted correctly and a with a good coordination it would be possible to take out a BS. What do you think about it? it is possible? even with a very experienced BS pilot?

Yes it is possible, I used to go hunting regularly in such gangs but as has been said, it is dependent on fittings.
However, whether it will still be possible after Kali and the HP boost remains to be seen. It'll certainly be more challenging.

so i think that the fitting will include some nosses to break the tank.. and ecm to avoid damage right? or perhaps other types of ew?

When I was a noob, my first PvP kill was a gang of 6 frigates - me being the only T2 one, in a Stiletto - taking out a Vagabond.
Yes, frigates will take out battleships, very easily. If a BS is untanked, 5-6 frigates will take it out pretty **** quickly. Depending on drone skills, you may need to take out their drones first or somesuch, or suck up losses.
All in all, your friends are wrong.

It is perfectly posible... with the right skills, settup and piloting you can even solo kill a BS in a friggie (ceptor /af) :

This guy was fleet fitted though, and i had to kill off 7 medium drones to make it work.
With 4-5 ceptors, you should be able to take down a raven easily, IF your gang is sett up propperly, and you guys know what your doing, and know the drill.
having some tracking disruptors, and caldari jammers should gett you a long way on any BS type. (unless sett up specificly to take down frigg gangs.

Anythings possible, ive killed a megahron solo in my Taranis, (he coudnt hit me close range, then popped all off his heavy drones 1 by 1) then i waiting for his cap charges to run out...... Neutron II's. Void, dam mods n 2 light drones helps tho :)
To take a raven, just send out 5 T1 frigs, 2 with racial jammers (mebbe 1 with a sensor damp will make it take to long for him to re-lock a friggy if u miss a few cycles), try to fit afterburners also, missiles wil do alot less damage at high speed (try minnie ships as can fire without cap if nos'ed)
But 5 good ceptor pilots should eat him for breakkie
But for T1 only
Hmm 2 EW friggs (griffons aint it?), one with 2 caldari jammers, one with 2 sensor damps, then 3 best close range damage ships T1 rocket kessies are alrite with ballistic controls in lows, all with good cap to keep the fight going, mebbe figh the EW with small nos to keep em jamming also.

5 mauluses with rails and a nos.
2 damps in mids and a warp scrambler.
damp the BS down to about 5km targetting distance, can't shoot even FOF missiles. If it releases drones, shoot em to bits. And slowly nos the tank down while shooting it with cap friendly ammo. Then change to Antimatter when the tank fails and finish it quickly.
For example.
Or try to go high damage (more SP intensive though...) and try to kill it before it kills you. The problem with attacking ravens, though, are the T2 cruises. They are deadly to all small ships...

Frigs with 3 mid-slots are the best, because everyone can fit 1 piece of EW.
Like a Rifter with AB/Mwd, scrambler/webber and tracking disruptor/caldari jammer/dampener.
Dampener works nicely if u get a total of 5-6 dampeners (Remote Sensor Dampener) because u can lock down a single ship to a lock-range around 10-15km with a long lock time and if someone gets locked AB/Mwd to 30km and move back in.
This maneuver makes so the ship needs to relock and the counter start from scratch again.
Just get everyone to fly their best frigate and then take things as they come and learn from each engagement.

It's possible with as few as 3 frigs with a blackbird cruiser supporting.

I remember being in a porrly setup fleet raven. I had refitted after a fight and ran straight into a group of 8 frigates. There was only 1 t2 frigate but about 3-4 griffins. I didnt get a lock and died extreeemely slowly.
