Hi all,
I started a trial at the beginning of this week and it ends on Monday or Tuesday. I would like to get the most out of the remainder of my trial so I thought that coming here and asking for soem advice would help. I currently have a Tormentor with dual pulse lasers plus a shield recharger and an armor repairer. I've learnt a fair amount but it has been a lot of trial and error (i.e. buying and training missiles only to find that I couldn't install them on my ship ) and with only a little time left, I would like to get it right.
I have about 200K ISK. I figure by this evening I could probably earn enough to buy a Punisher (plus insurance). So keeping in mind that I only have a limited amount of time to learn skills, what should I do to get the Punisher up and running as well as possible.
So I would like to have something that can be managed in 36 hours. I will therefore have a decent (hopefully) Punisher ship to play with on Sunday.
After my previous blunders, I reckon I can figure out skill req's for different modules. But, I would like some recommendations on which modules to get. What should I put in my hi/med/low slots for my Punisher.

As for what I plan to do, I am currently running agent missions. If I have a ship that could do some PvP, I would be game to try it out. But if someone has some suggestions about what to try out once I have this ship up and running, I'm all ears. :)

Try something like this, assuming you have the skills to fit:
Highs 3x dual light pulse laser I (Gamma crystals are probably best for you) 1x small nos (if you have the skills, otherise empty slot)
Meds 1x 1MN afterburner 1x 7.5km warp scrambler (PvP) or stasis webbifier (PvE)
Lows 1x small armor rep 1x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I 1x 200mm plate (reduce to 100mm or 50mm plate if you are short on power grid) 1x Capacitor Power Relay

For PvP you should switch the Lasers to projectil guns, since they use way less powergrid, so you can upgrade to a 400mm plate which gives your little Punisher more hitpoints then a Cruiser. I suggest 150mm Autocannons loaded with EMP, Phased Plasma and Fusion, offers nice damage options.

I'm assuming that as he's on a trial account, he hasn't had time to train proj guns.

Thanks guys.
Have a couple of questions:
what kind of plate armor should I be getting? Where can I find this (what kind of ship equipment is it): Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I What is "nos" short for?
If I go for autocannons, how much ammo should I buy for each trip out (I don't want to be caught short-handed on my first foray)?

If he was referring to this:

I have both skills required.

just search the market for 400mm and the available plate deals should pop up
nos stands for nosferatu and is an energy sucking device :) ----------------------
