Who?
Almost Broken (FLEET), a relatively new alliance formed in December 2013. While our alliance is fresh, the executor corp, GamCorp, was born in January 2014; over ten years ago. The age of GamCorp, it's members, and their acquired SP speaks volumes in terms of what we have experienced over the years - which is most of what EVE has to offer. We have run two previous alliances, Code Red, and Undivided, both of which were null-sec sov holding, and station holding alliances in based out of Catch, Insmother and Fountain.
Our member core member base, being a group of friends and colleagues from the UK. While being a small corporation, we are able to field most ships from frigates to capital ships. While we do have Titan-ready pilots, currently we do not own any Titans; ISK not being the reason behind this, more so that we have no use for them due to our size, and our location.
We have a massive passion for EVE Online, which has been in our hearts for many years. We have a regular turn out at fanfest, every year.
Why?
As mentioned above, our corporation is an old one which has stood the test of time. Like most of you we pay our subscriptions with real money, we believe this gives us the right to play EVE how we want, not being dictated to by what ships to fly, or when we should fly them. We have real lives, real jobs, wives, families and children - all of which hold a higher priority than internet spaceships and pixels. We do not wish to be dictated to by anyone, how much time we should spend logged in [and get penalised or retired from corp], or that we should be on comms whenever online. While we appreciate and respect the need for people to be on comms for operational success, it's just not practical all the time. We have work commitments or children to look after, putting the kids to bed at 7pm and expecting people to be on comms and in fleet is sometimes just not practical; nor is it even acceptable for somone we have never met, someone from the other side of the world, someone who has no kids, to dictate our lives. Sometimes it's just not possible to fleet up, that doesn't make me an ass, nor does it make me lazy - real life comes first, always; it's a game!
More to the point, I pay my subscription. If you wan't me to play the game your way, you paid my subscription, I'll be happy to.
Where?
Once again, we are in null-sec. This time we're trying a much different approach to anything previously tried by ourselves, we operate out of Providence under NRDS (not red don't shoot) rules of engagement. NRDS is very new to us, but we believe in it. It brings many people together and makes life that much more enjoyable. There is nothing to be gained by kicking a dog when you walk down the street.
Our alliance has been mainly industrial over the last few years, it has since been decided we needed a change of direction. While we still hold the materials and the means to mass produce items, include capital ships, we need to explore more of EVE, and to be honest communicate with more of EVE. So we have opened our doors to new members.
Enough about you, what can you offer me?

As either a new member corporation, or as individual pilots, we provide the following incentives:
- Standings with local alliances, including Yulai Federation, Sev3rance, and The Volition Cult.
- Access to allied intel channels for security.
- Access to allied fleet ops channels.
- Friends, allies, 0.0 space, non elitest attitudes.
- Ship Replacement Program (SRP) - Should you, or your people be willing to fleet up and join in with area defence, or roaming ops, we offer an SRP. Want to go with allies on roam but worried about loosing ships? No problem, we'll replace the hull if it get's destroyed; we will even provide you with free t1 frigs, destroyers, and cruisers.
- Free 30 Day Pilots License (PLEX), What? That's right, as an alliance we offer a free plex to the pilot of our choosing who has participated in PvP operations (note: to qualify the pilot must have more than 15 kills in a month, not a lot, but it's a minimum requirement), or has done something spectacular to benefit the alliance.
- Help with skillbooks, need skillbooks? As long as they're under 1M isk, they're free.
- Help and assistance with anything in-game, PvP advice, overview setups, anything - advice is free, and the best part about advice? it's up to you whether you choose to take it.
- Voice comms (Mumble). We provide a Mumble Server (murmur) for your use, voice comms is provided as a service to you, for you to use as and when you wish, we will not force comms on you - though you may be refused joining PvP fleets if you cannot be on comms to at least listen.
- Mining boosts, yeah we have Orcas and ****.
- Access to many BPCs
- We also provide out of game services to benefit our members, including software written by ourselves such as KOS checkers (What? A way to check if a neutral who enters system should be considered a threat) and dScan (a way to copy and paste EVE Online directional scanner data so it is reproduced in a readable and easy to understand format).

As a member of Almost Broken, we have a few rules to obide by, non of which we feel will impact you enjoyment:-
- We operate under strict NRDS rules of engagement, you must follow this. This is our most enforced rule, failure to follow this rule will have you, or your corp, immediately removed from the alliance. We are guests in Providence, and we are expect to follow Providence Rules.
- A FULL API KEY is required from either yourself, or for corporations, your CEO. We use the data provided by your API key to build an overview of your character, your SP, who you talk to, and who you send/receive money to/from. This enables us to determine alts and friends, while no vetting procedure is perfect we have to try. If you're a CEO, you will be expected to use the same programs and resources as we do to vet any new members joining your corp.
- No stupid losses, seriously, no stupid losses. We will try to assist, offer advice and help in any way we can, stupid losses will not be accepted, for example: jumping a jump freighter in to a system full or reds or hot droppers. This will get you kicked.
- If we think of anything else, we'll let you know; it's your game, your subscription.

As CEO of Lia's Lavender Corp. I am always on the look out to diversify our holdings. Null-Sec is number one on our list. Overall we are looking for access to rare ores and more abundant planetary resources. Hence my quoting your last paragraph.. Are you open to a loose affiliation and or alliance with a focused industrial and mining corporation? |

This thread is specifcally regarding recruiting corporations in to Almost Broken.
Providence is NRDS, yourself and your corporation are not KOS to cva nor can I see any reasons from KB activity etc you would have any issues in Providence. You'd be welcome to move into the area as long as you follow Provi rules. Once you spent some time in Provi I am sure you'd get to know people.
I can certainly suggest areas you may wish to set up in. |

We've been here for 11 years, we've done fanfest a few times (and even awoke with an EVE tattoo), and we will be at fanfest 2016.
If EVE is something you're passionate about, something you believe in, or you just want to join in with a group of old players, if your corp wants to stay together without mergers, maybe you should call - ME :P |

We've had a couple of corps come on board recently, so I am looking for 1 may be 2 more corps before we put a halt on the corp recruitment for a while.

Sad news at the Nestle factory today when a member of staff was seriously injured, a pallet full of white chocolate fell over and crushed him. He tried to attract attention but every time he shouted "The milky bars are on me !!", everyone just cheered...
