After trying the pirate life I'm sure thats not the way I'm gonna go EVER again. As I've discovered the hard way, many of the pirate corps are backstabbing, unhelpfull, ignoring idiots who acctually often are afraid for their own lives!
I joined Crusaders 10k ad a month ago or something, because of a friend who also was in that corp. At first I thought: "Hey this is funny. Being bad and al that.." But then I slowly started to see whats wrong with being a pirate:
We were in an alliance with corps like Biomass, PLD, and some more and it all sounded like we were quite powerfull. But we were not. Problems within the alliance lead to that we were kicked out and put on KOS list, all because our leader ****ed up. Our CEO Jag Terran lead us out of our HQ and into a new home in 0.0 wich might sound ok, with the only problem that the bastard didn't dare to go into a single fight
Even though he had an apoc he never PvP'ed even though we were "supposed" to be a pirate corp.
Also when one in the corp was in trouble noone did anything to help. Not even our CEO Jag Terran. One could tell him that an enemy corp was comming and he wouldnt give **** about it... So I left the corp angrily and dissapointed over the lack of teamwork in the corp...
So I think its pretty clear now that my buisness forwards is going to be the opposite, piratehunting, wich shouldnt be so difficult to do versus 10kad since they work so badly together. Especially when they have a leader who cares more about his ship than the better of the corp

BTW: An advice to ppl here...
Dont join a piratecorp that works so badly together as 10kad.
Dont be a pirate at all, because most of them are very stupid and selfish like Jag Terran for instance...

They are the ones who will make the end of 10kad... They are the ones who has a morale... They are the ones who might care...
Besides 10kad is dead, nomatter where it moves they are gonna be fired at. And I'm gonna be fighting piracy too forwards

Not all pirate corps are like 10k. I cant think of one member of The LBC who backstabing or unhelpfull. Most of us are actually pretty nice guys who just play the game a slightly different way to the majority of EVE.
Some players might not like the way that most pirate corps are run. They tend to encourage there members to not rely on the corp but to be fairly independent. This however does not mean that we do not help our members as we do. We just like to have members who actually think about the game and not just act as a mindless drones.
There is always good and bad in all types of people. Just because sombody likes to play the role (note the avoidence of the RP word) of a unpleasant character does not mean that he is automaticaly a ****head. Just ask anybody in EVE that knows me / had business dealings with me.
So simply put just because 10k was not a bed of roses dont knock all pirate corps.

the true story of starbrow the mining whannabe.....
one day starbrow whanted to be a master piarte in flash, she didnt have the patience to learn pvp so she stayed mining, and is now claiming to be a full blooded old pirate after being ina corp THAT has some piarte's

Hi Captain Tinrib, you were the guy who ran from us yesterday in FD.
We do all types of combat, not just sit at gates or jumpins.
- Go after miners and haulers in belts and at gates
- Plan and coordinate our attacks carefully when entering fleet battles. Took down 5 and 3 cruisers battleships without a single loss the other day, they had 3 more battleships that ran, we had 6 battleships and 2 cruisers.
- Weve actually become very good at camping jumpins and gates, people might think they escaped when they got past us once but get killed when we meet them in the next system.

Veg - Im not talking about you in particular but YOU DO DO IT and you know it, although COW are worse for that sort of thing. We lost an apoc to one of your JIP ambushes, no way to escape since you lagged the hell out of him with drones. Aside from that, I respect the LBC and i know your not a lot of bumbling idiots like alot of pirates.
And of course im going to run if im out numbered, im not going to stick around and lose my expensive ship.

I'm pretty sure the NVA will take care of 10k as well as Biomass and Space Invaders, etc...
Not too difficult, especially with the patch that's about to come out :)

No chance doesnt matter what patches come out, what nerfs and extra security measures CCP put in to make things more difficult we will addapt.
and NVA whipping Bio, SPVD etc.. I very much doubt that.
NVA were very nearly whipped, Evolution joining in the fight was their, in the words of EVOL "life line" but to think we havnt planned for this turn of events is ignorant.

I mean c'mon, just think about it. What would make more sense then the 3 most hated alliances teaming up to lay waste to the people they all hate anyways? CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

Lolomfgwtf! You peeps are so myopic. NVA was never "very nearly whipped." Yes NVA was embarassed in ONE battle, a battle that destroyed approximately 1% of NVA's fleet.
And OMG you guys have gotten a LOT of mileage out of ONE win. Yet, we are still in Venal, and you all are still podding noobs in empire space.
Biomass actually thought they had some gonads after that ONE battle, and you collectively have spent more time gloating and creaming over one another over that battle than is appropriate. You ever hear the expression, "Act like you've been there before?"
Biomass did not suddenly become awesome PvPers because of one very fortunate turn-of-events. Yes, after you induced several disgruntled NVA members to join you, your PvP ability increased about 100%. It sucked royally before that, you see. I only need to point to M3G4 crawling out of Venal with their tail between their legs so they could rise from the ashes as "BIOMASS--We don't suck like M3g4!! (Even though we're the same peeps.)
So, congrats on winning a battle. When you can do something other than come to Venal in a 40-ship fleet, I'll be impressed.
But you guys seriously need to stop patting yourselves on the back. Everyone else in the community is laughing at you.
