I'd always been under the impression that it was considered an exploit to successfully escape Concord's fiery deathrays after doing something to call them charging in.
However, I'm 99% sure it's been said that it's perfectly legal to run away from the original scene of the crime - presumably if you want to minimise the risk of the jawas stealing your loot when you're eventually caught.
In a recent thread, a certain someone said that they ran for 15 minutes (i.e. until the flag ran out) and survived as a result, due to Concord giving up and going home. This was deemed a bannable offence by the thread-locking mod and - presumably - the GMs and CCP.
Isn't this rather the fault of CCP? Why should Concord essentially let the player commit a bannable offence just because they couldn't do the job in 15 minutes? Either they need to chase until they finish the job, or running from the cops needs to be made illegal altogether.
Unless it already is and I'm misinformed, in which case kindly move along and maybe send me some sympathy isk. |

Yes it is, but so is every other bannable exploit. I guess it simply isnt common enough for them to bother fixing. |

Seeing as you've been told it's an exploit, using it in the future and being banned for it will rest solely on your head.. not CCP's.
Have a little common sense.

I don't understand why its an exploit to run away from police? I accept it but i don't understand it. It is a chance which you have in RL and any other game, why should i give up that easy? _______________________ Mining makes mad |
