Im having trouble with my client that persists after a complete reinstall-reboot.
After I log in and start the game I get a black screen. The only things visible are the eve cursor and a small blue circle in the left lower corner that sais "resource loading" when I hover the mouse over it.
If I hit esc i get the option tab pops up and the blue circle dims. I can modify the visual settings and change the resoluion and display method but nothing else happens. If I try to close the options screen it seems to go away but visually the tab stays where it was, inactive.
If I hit esc again the circle lights up again.
When I hover the mouse over the circle "Resource loading" pops up, when I move the cursor away the popup partially goes away, leaving behind corrupted visual artifacts of itself popping up/minimising.
If I try to exit the game via the button in the options menu or via the desktop icon the game asks "Are you sure you want to quit" as usual.
Can somebody help me with this strange problem? |

I sometimes have to wait 4 or 5 minutes with the black screen before the character selection screen load, and that loading resources throbber runs almost permanently in game. When I dock it takes about 90 seconds for the interior to load and I have load station environment setting off. Prepatch I had none of these issue. Good job there CCP.

Have been sitting at the "Resource Loading" down in the bottom left of my black screen for way too long .. .10+ Any solutions so far?
I have updated my launcher to the pre-release version - same result I have checked the box in the launcher to "Download all Resource files" - same result
and yes, I did restart the launcher, and the computer

Exact same issue here, I've tried letting it sit, with not change after 20 or more minutes. Starting in safemode does load, but the game preforms significantly slow and closed without warning when I tried to leave station |

Is there any update on this as playing in "Safe Mode" sucks! |

I was having the same problem. I checked the "close launcher after starting" option. Got the blackscreen again but only waited ~20 secs for the character select to load. |
