what is the longest time anybody can play eve for within 24 hours?
well obviously, due to DT, 23 hours. therefore, i challange eve to a duel. man vs. machine. brain work vs. frame works. i challange myself and my buddy and corp mate green flyer to take upon the server and play continously from dawn till dawn. from downtime to downtime.
weve stacked our supplies and fitted our ships to let nothin interrupt us on this mission. today is the glorious day. i invite you all to join us along this journey.
the only thing that can stop us now is a server crash, or a national wide internet breakdown. i wish for neither and start configuring my pod (server startup 32sec).
firing engines, checking warp core and secondary systems. all green, and im off
PS. i will keep updating this post, along with maybe some pictures later.

Edited by: Feng Schui on 18/11/2006 20:12:50 23 hours? bleh...
longest single run gaming session for me was 4 days.. straight. No breaks.
during DT, make some coffee, eat breakfast, take a shower. Log back in.
** Not gaming now... but I've been doing my final project for class since Wednesday, modelling / rendering scenes in 3dsMax.. I should be done sometime tonight, I hope.. and then I can start compiling and what not.

Edited by: Feng Schui on 19/11/2006 03:02:44 Just because one sits at thier computer for many days at a time, does not mean that one is starving and dehydrating themself
Although... during 4 day gaming session, I did start to go on a "natural" "trip". Started dreaming while I was awake.. freaked me the hell out tbh.
"Working" per se, as I am doing now, isn't too bad.. as I can actually get 1-2 hours of sleep during render time. This 3 min scene I've got rendering now, is broken up in 12 different shots, each shot is a different camera angle / position. Even with network rendering, its taking me anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours
And its due Monday
Edit:
And about that "news story" he was awake for 32 hours. Here is a snippet:
At 7am on Saturday, a staff member found the man on the floor of the cafe's toilet foaming at the mouth and bleeding from the nose
There is NO CHANCE of dying due to exhaustion. Your body will put itself to sleep, whether you want it to or not =p Besides, 32 hours is nothing (for some people).
sounds to me like:
1) He was poisoned 2) Natural causes (medical reasons not associated with staying awake).
