Probably cause that the average age on this game is 5-10 years higher than like CS or WoW
Cept for that dofus above me, ofc ^^

I think thats a generalization tbh. I think a lot of people play all sorts of games, including shooters and stuff. I know I do. :)

I'm not so sure about that these days to be honest. But if they STILL are better than the rest, holy crap they must suck.

MMO players tend to be older in general. But being mature, often times, is overrated and less fun

Yes these forums are a lot more restrained than some mmo's forums I've used but we still have our moments.

If you read Corporation, Alliance and Organization Discussions you can clearly see where those mentally 5-10 years younger people have gone.

All games have their share of leet kiz, however because of the nature of this game and its complexity EVE unlike its counter parts require a certian amount of patience and thus leet kids leave fairly quick.
That being said, I would belive the forums to be more 'imature' during the weekends simply because we have a lot of drunken (forum) pirates.

The forum mod team here also help by quickly stamping down hard on flame posts and so on and dealing with persistent trouble makers.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

On the whole, more civilized, yes.
However, if you'd like to also preserve your idealism a bit longer, avoid the Ship and Modules, Corp Alliance Discussions, and Crime & Punishment sections for awhile  .

I don't agree.
I don't play many other games, but from all the forums iv'e been around in, this is the worst by far.
I won't go in to detail for obvious reasons.

Hm yeah, maybe it's very grown up compared to other games.
But you can find childish behaviour everywhere in here, too.
People flaming threads without having read or intentionally misinterpreted them.
Or arguments like "i have invested 10million skillpoints in this single weapontype, so you MAY NOT nerf it, as overpowered as it may be"
Surely less then in other forums.
But still depressing if you ask me.
