Anyone know if you can use an Assault Frig to run the hole thing?
I plan on running it after work today and don't want to have to use more than one ship but cant find anywhere online that says you can do the hole think in a T2 frig.
Im not asking if its possible but if the ship restrictions on the missions will allow me to.
Thank you. |

I use an Interdictor (T2 destroyer) as there is I think one haul of a couple hundred m3 so there should be nothing to keep out a T2 frigate. |

I made a decent Hawk fit I'm going to use. It has 300m3 cargo so the transport mission shouldn't be an issue. |

I read on the eve uni forums a whole thread about this a while ago. As I recall you can do the whole thing in most ships, even a skiff, but the bulk of the work is spent flying around. Thus why interceptors are prefered and dont forget to warp speed rig it 3/3. Theres only one big transport mission and the last couple of combat missions you can just park a crusier out there. Your gonna want to run it again after it resets right?

I ran it once on an alt when testing the NPE, I'll probably never run it again.

Isn't there another SOE epic arc after you finish the easy one that requires a BC and above to complete? |

No.
The Sisters have only one epic arc, each of the Empire factions has one, several of the pirate factions have one. |

In this game nothing is overkill.

The level 1 SoE Epic Arc was mainly designed for new players which basically gives them a tour of the Eve Universe. In order to complete the arc itself, new players are basically encouraged to engage in teamwork with other players and to upgrade their ship to Destroyer class.
I don't remember the arc having any specific restrictions on ship class. I use a Force Recon Cruiser (Rapier) to run the arc.
The level 1 SoE Epic Arc has a great main story plot which is interwoven with small story plots. The best thing about the arc is the ability to repeat it every 3 months and player choice to complete it for one of the 4 main Empire Factions.
The Dev's need to add more Epic Arcs for the rest of the Factions.

All depends on your skill I guess, such as you could run it with a griffin and enough skill. Just the last boss is a little tanky, the rest is really-easy mode. I'd guess optimal would be an interceptor, though still overkill, but fast. Yawn?

Yes.
I used to run them in my Wolf and Jag with ease. The only thing is there is a deliver missions somewhere about 2/3's of the way through which means I had to switch out but I think some expander would work there.
For what it's worth. I re-ran the missions two days ago in this: and did it in just under 4hrs....... keep orbit at 12 for normal stuff and 13.5 for the last mission and it's FAST. I'm about to re-run them again on my alt and have given him the ship.
That said. I'm a very well skilled pilot (SP that is)>

Time for me to do it. Debating using a scythe fI or a vigilant. I swear had a daredevil lying around somewhere, but I've lost it. Don't think I sold it... might have got it blown up though. memories fussy. Anyway if I warp speed rig it the vigi is no longer faster then the scythe right?

Use a Worm or Ishkur. This way your DPS is your drones, and you don't have to waste ammo. Astero will work as well. |

Just did it in a pulse fit succubus in 3h30 (from first payout time, not sure exactly when I picked up the mission)
AFs shouldn't have a problem at all, but if you're going with a frig then pack a cargo expander in the hold for the one larger courier mission.
but what would I know, I'm just a salvager

I generally run it in a passive shield Vexor because a passive Vexor can tank stupid DPS for a cheap ship.
You can however fly the arc in almost anything that can break 150 DPS as there are only three slightly challenging missions, one neuts you, one scrams you and the third is of course Dagan. |

Doing it in a cynabal now with 3 tech2 warpspeed rigs. autocannons don't need cap, dps is well over 200 and its cargo bay has all the room needed for the transport missions while still packing all the ammo you need. It rattles around at 7au and its trivilised any challenge in the arc so far. did some lev 2 and 3 sites with it just to break things up and it monstered those too. nice little ship.

You don't even need 150DPS. I ran the whole thing on a low-skilled alt in a mostly T1-fit rail Catalyst with about 120 DPS and a meager passive tank (ANP + DC II). It takes a while to chew through some of the big tanks, and that mission where you get scrammed can get a little tight, but it's workable.
Or you can use a MWD T1 Talwar and faceroll the whole thing.
Any T2 assault frigate is overkill. You might as well rig for warp speed, because everything else is easy. The only thing I wouldn't do is fit close-range weapons. Kill from 20km+ out and the whole thing is easy.

Did it repeatedly in a Wolf. I don-Št think my shield went even once below 2/3 (on an armor tank). If you have at least some skills the main problem is reduced to boring travel time, really. I might try an Interceptor next time to cut down on this as well.

I've done it with interceptor last time. SoE arc is more about warping a lot than anything else, so IMO it's the best ship for the task. Although you'll have to get some frig for Caldari part because you'll need to haul about 200-300 m3 of cargo on one mission.
To answer your question, yes, there's no problem with T2 frigs (did that too). |

Warp Speed is 5.5 au/s Cargo Bay is 400m3 DPS should be around 300. More than enough for all missions. |
