When an alliance ask for a corporation API key, what sort of info we are giving away?
What concern us the most is location of POS and resources, member skill points and wallet info. Is everyone giving this info away with no second thoughts? |

Depends on what they ask for.
If you want to see for yourself, just change the keyID and vCode in the following API call and see for yourself.
https://api.eveonline.com/char/CharacterSheet.xml.aspx?keyID=[YOUR KEY]&vCode=[YOUR CODE]
Alternatively, plug a full account API into API Jackknife and check everything available in different APIs, from mail, skills, wallet, transactions, etc., etc. (click along the menu at the top to see after you have entered your API):

Fyi , any Corp/alliance actually worth joining will likely ask you for one of these, so be aware that by refusing to give one you may well be locking yourself out of some opportunities.

I don't think there ever was a question about that..just a lot of deflection to make people look the other way. 
@ the OP, there is nothing in an API but game information..no personal info. If you have an issue giving out info about your char or corp..it suggests to others you have something to hide. Other corps in your alliance cannot steal your assets unless you allow it. It doesn't work the same way as it does within your corp..and even them you have to allow access. Awoxing has all but been killed off...and you could never do it inter-alliance before anyways. Just because someone knows what you have, doesn't mean they can or want to take it.
If you are not willing to disclose, why should an alliance trust you? You see...in your paranoia of distrusting an alliance for wanting to know about you...you in fact make it so it is THEY who can't trust YOU. Just a little food for thought. 
If I had a nickel for every time someone said women don't play eve, I'd have a bag of nickels to whack the next person who said it..

If you're not willing to do it...don't join a corp/alliance. You have to give to receive.

This thread is about being asked for a Corporation API, which only the CEO can provide.
It's got nothing to do with joining a player corp, or player vs npc corp (that's a couple of other threads).

There is no need for personal attacks miner, we are all friends here. I know miner tears when I taste them. A mining permit is only 10mil ISK and valid for a whole year.

Corps that demand full API from you as a matter of course are almost always tryhard textbook fails. You wont have any fun in that corp and will probably one day be slandered as a awok anyway. Even if you worked your position like a slave it wont matter. You screwed up when you gave your full API to some loser in the first place.
