Ive been trying to find ways to reproduce this bug. You know the one where the cargo space meter is filled up, but your cargo space is really empty? And whats worse, you cant add stuff to the cargo because the client think there isnt room (but there is). It happens to me now and then and requires a relog to fix it seems. I would like to get rid of it.
So if you know how to reproduce it, bug report it or tell me so I can bug report it...
Its my most hated bug right now...

Its my most hated bug right now...
they only time I produced this bug was when I was lagging really badly and I tried to unload my cargo. I fixed it by jumping into another ship in the station. I can't remember if I repackaged the old one or not.

Yeah, if its produced by the lag, then its very hard to reproduce indeed... 
Seems a bit strange though. Shouldnt the client check with the server the amount of cargo space every time you open the cargo? Or is it somehow cached, and therefore keeps the wrong value perhaps?

i had the same problem and it happened mostly when the server itself was laggy(it happened more often in laggy stain, less often in the less-laggy curse)

Yeah. Its VERY annoying. Lets try to find the bug and waste it....it might be caused by lag, but im sure it can be fixed anyway.
I have this theory there is some value being cached locally. Because otherwise it would work again when the cluster stops lagging, or work some of the times when you open the cargo, and other times not. But its not like that. It never works once it stops working.

Indicates its a local cache value then... which gets replaced when you change ships.

(un)equipping cargo expanders helped fix it too.
It looks like a nonevital communication error between client and server caused by lag or packet loss.
I tried to reproduce it some time ago by moving a lot of stuff around between hangars when the server already did lag a bit *cough*, but that didn't do the trick.
When you change ammo under that bug, you lose the ammo that's taken from the weapon systems. Relogging and DT do not bring that ammo back. It just disapears.

The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing.
