I did that with a SNES controller once in anger. It was a black and white portable, though, so doesn't really compare.

On a similar theme I once got so incredibly angry at my PS1 that I took the disk out, snapped it over my knee, picked up the controller and smashed it THROUGH the PS1 and then pounded what was left with a shoe.
I hate driver.
Thankfully I have since found the gods and I am a different person now.

i got used to the ps2 and its firmly grounded controllers, then i went microsoft, Xbox i threw it at my wall exspecting the controller cord to stop it and make it hit the floor. Dam you microsoft and your trip saftey cables. 1 xbox controller gone +3 also for the ones my brother just got mad at and stomped all over. Then comes the xbox 360 you get angry and soon forget about the wireless controlls. 1 destroyed controller one that i just couoldnt find after +3 for on the ones my brotehr stomped all over.
