I do... so I creat a new character, spending lots of time perfecting every detail. I log on to this web site, punch in my credit card info and attempt to swap my character portaits...
error: souce character's bloodline doen not match destination's CRAP
yeah, so I'm stuck with my character... sucks cause I really hate the look of my original choice's bloodline.
PLEASE CCP, allow us to swap bloodline and even gender... I for one would even be willing to pay extra for this, and I'm sure others would too.
With the upcomming factional warefare it would be awesome if we could have the oportunity to change to the race we want to fight for.
Please show your support with a quick post, so we can show CCP that there's a strong desire for this.

Its not allowed because totally changing everythign about your character is in essence a new character with a new identity.
There are warnings all over the char portrait transfer site that they have to be the same bloodline. Its not CCPs fault you didnt read them.

I really hate the straight lines on my bald head. I would want it more spherical but I'm not going to pay for it. I look up Omega Vistage in game and tbh the Vherokior bloodline isnt too bad.

I'm not blaming CCP or mad at them in any way... yes its my fault for not checking first. All I'm saying is it would be nice if we could swap across bloodlines.

No, thanks to the most excellent portrait generator, everyone in EvE look unique and no two chars are the same. This make the portrait itself represent the player in a large way, together with the pilot name.
CCP allowed to change the portrait to accomodate those who wanted to retouch their, to fix and improve small things. But changing bloodline/gender is to big of a change. Changing the name is not even a consideration.
If you really don't like your choices, then you can create another pilot and restart. You are still an exclamation mark anyways so it's not like you've been playing for years.

Actually, by now I've made so fracking many references to me being Intaki on the forums that changing it must be a breach against some sort of forum rule.
What bloodline is your main, by the way? Don't give up, some bloodlines can be made look good. Except Sebiestior. Or Jin Mei females. Nor Ni-Kunni males. Nor Gallente males.
By the way, does anyone else think that Achura females have suspiciously low charisma?
Also keep in mind that as long as your character is less than 1 million skill points, it's not too late to change! Especially if the new bloodline has better attributes than your main.
I think I calculated that my alt, Arvandor (2 year license), training perc/will skills would equal Ithildin's (3 years old) skillpoints in about... 5.3 years provided he trained charisma/memory skills.
That's not a too big a difference in attribute points, and it takes only 7 years to catch one year up. I only shudder to imagine if I'd keep both training perc/will, then Ith'd be surpassed very soon.
Only takes about 7 times time to catch up if you've got slightly better attributes.

When I first creaed this character, I was playing on my widescreen laptop. It wasn't until after I got in game that I found the graphics settings and fixed the resolution. Now I have this stretched head that looks like something off Star Trek.
How about a free avatar fix, eh CCP?

ok, so I can understand you portrait being a major part of your identity, and as such CCP doesn't want it changing on a regular basis... so how about allowing a one time only switch, so people can be truely happy with their avatar. I feel ugly

this is the char I want my main to look like. My main has over 10 mil SP, so starting over is not an option.
I just want him to look more 1337 (j/k) and match the race on the faction I want to fight with in factional warfare.
If anyone from CCP is listening, I'll pay significantly extra to be able to do this and I'm sure more than a few other would too. Mo Money in your pockets

I think it's good you can't swap bloodlines for the portraits. Imagine if everyone would get a Caldari Achura for the attributes and then swap the portrait for the Minmatar with sunglasses?
Btw you can see my old portrait to the left, the new one can be seen below so it is possible to improve even without swapping bloodlines.
