New Jovian Exploration DepartmentSalutations fellow New Eden pilots, and welcome to the NJED recruitment post. NJED was created a little over 6 months ago and has suffered setbacks and triumphs in equal measures, we currently reside in a wormhole, that is both new player/ experienced pilot optimized, (OpSec). We are in a mutually advantageous alliance with A Band Apart. We are primarily an exploration Corp and encourage and welcome newer players into our community, which is relaxed, friendly and well practiced at exploring. We really like experienced pilots also! We want to take advantage of the recent and upcoming changes to our Universe. Exploit them for our benefit and have fun and make friends doing it. We will not tell you how to spend your time in New Eden, however if we come under attack we will expect you to help defend our home, and should we be wardecced, we would expect you to follow Corp directives on avoidance. We fully understand that Real Life comes first and foremost, but do expect decent levels of activity, and a willingness to use Teamspeak 3. New members would be expected to move to our Wormhole home, register for Forums and Slack. We are also expanding into PI, Manufacturing and Industry. PvP is not a reason why we exist, although we do like to do it from time to time. You are fully expected to defend yourself and to take advantage of other explorers you may cross paths with. We are good with both US EU/UK TZ's, as we have decent coverage over this range. Corporation Goals : To grow the Corp, develop a Loot/Ore buy back program and SRP eventually. I'm really sorry about the previous post, it's a heap of steaming turds.
If other exploration corps credo and ethos doesn't sit well with you, we have no such silly rules about no shooting first, don't think twice, shoot them up and grab that loot, finish the site and move on. GF as you leave system and thanks for the loots.

Now, seeing as we are such a great bunch of guys, we are giving away this little plan for WH dwelling new explorers, if you are not in a WH don't worry so much about anchoring and starbase management, the optionals at the bottom are that, optional depending on where you want to head to in the future.
As a new explorer, there are some skills you will need to have, check this out:

We are always looking out for new and old explorers, no skill point requirements, but you will need resilience and determination for wormhole life, the free list above is something to aim for if you are serious about joining, otherwise you won't be able to do very much and it could get a little tedious.
It's the truth.

If you are new, old or bittervet, we would like very much for you to drop into the Data channel and exchange wise words and gifts with our friendly and knowledgeable pilots, gifts could be anything, a joke, a gif or 5 isk, it just helps to break the ice.
If you want to find out more about exploration and the skills that branch into other areas, come along and ask, we like to share.
We are currently ofline with the SRP and buyback programme, however we are working hard for it to be up and running real soon.

There are quite a few Exploration Corps knocking about snapping up pilots at the present time, we all offer the basics to any pilots that want to join.
What sets us apart?
I believe it is that we are very patient and understanding, RL must always come first, EvE is a distraction for many pilots and some take it extremely seriously, I like to think we fall somewhere in between.
If you don't understand something we will try alternative methods to help learning easier, we will escort you around and let you try things out, doing is a great way to learn, and we will be right there with you, should you have any questions.
Give us a trial for a month, if you don't like anything, you can always leave, we would prefer you not to and would be grateful if you would try to explain the things that are getting at you, and let us have a go at rectification.

Exploring can be a lonely profession, away from home for long periods, amassing huge amounts of loot.
Wouldn't it be great if you could call someone to help you get your stuff to a hub, to be sold?
NJED pilots will help you to do this, given enough advance warning.
Stuck in a hole? Need someone to come rescue you?
NJED pilots can help with this too, as long as you have used Tripwire, our preferred 3rd party tool for wormhole mapping.

I have returned, been away at work, however our aims and goals have not changed.
We are still on the lookout for new players and grizzled vets and all those in between.

Hi! I was getting up and ready for work, walking the dog, all that good stuff and noticed your post.
First, I was curious on how accurate your training list is? I had considered getting a plex or 4 and using the isk to purchase skill injectors but I'd like a plan for skills that will aid me in wormhole space.
Second, is your activity pretty solid for 0100-0500 eve time... 2000-0000 CST?
Third, I'm doing the Sisters of Eve Epic Arc... is there anything else you'd suggest to get a new pilot semi-ready for wormhole space?

Hi Spartan, the skill plan listed on the first page, will get you active and able to participate in most things from the off, if you want advanced skills pm me.
Activity on the U.S. TZs is good almost constant from around 2200 EvE time, through to the early hours, EU needs some work though.
Sisters arc, don't be scared to ask for help, you can drop into our channel and ask, if someone is available I'm sure they would help out.
Learn the MWD + Cloak trick it will save you. Learn to scan efficiently it will save you and your fellow pilots.
