As per topic, obviously. What are the minimum skills I need in shieldtanking and missiles to run lvl 4 missions consistently without dieing? Since I'm mostly a pvp person, and I don't really like missiles in pvp, I don't want to waste too much time on training them, although I do see that a missile raven is one of the fastest ways of making cash with lvl 4 missions, which will help to fund my inevitable loss of many, many expensive ships and modules

Pertinent drone/shield/missile skills to 4 should pull you through most l4s, though a few will be rough.
Increase odds with better skills, gear, friends, or experience. --------- >>Disclaimer: Anything Nukeitall says is not to be taken seriously. Mostly. |

I started level 4s with something like this
Cruise Missiles 3 Heavy Missiles 3 Missile Launcher Operation 5 Rapid Launch 3 Standard Missiles 3 Warhead Upgrades 3 Energy Management 3 Energy Systems Operation 4 Engineering 4 Shield Compensation 3 Shield Management 3 Shield Operation 5 Shield Upgrades 4 Tactical Shield Manipulation 3
I did have some issues with some Missions like Zazz but was able to finish extravaganza missions including the 6th stage. Please be aware that starting with skills at this level will cause you to take quite a long time to complete missions.

Not so much skills, more experience.
I've seen people with only a handful of skillpoints, who are able to rampage through level 4's on their way to a CNR.
Myself, I have 30m SP and I still fear lvl4's.

I agree with Mr. Foxx. More than (in-game) skills you need experience and brains.

Agree with the last posts.
There are no minimum amount of skills that will prevent you from dieing if you do something "stupid". Experience and fitting is what matters.

Anyways, thanks. I guess I was too obsessed by skillpoints, but if experience will help a lot, I'll go command some of my friends to take me on a couple of lvl 4 missions to experience what they're like.

The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing. by Sharkbait | 2006.09.20 |

Raven with 7 Cruise and 1 Tractor Beam = Yummy dead rats with gold filling!
But then you have d***wads telling you "Isn't that overkill? Wheres the challange"

What happens here if the 'nanny-filter' encounters a person named 'Richard'?

Realistically, someone just starting level 4s won't be using a Navy Raven. After it gets to the point where one can afford one (or gets the agent offer) its all about grinding the missions out for fast cash anyway.

Further to my point above, I have my alt come in with an Auguror, sitting 40-odd Km away and feeding me cap to continuously run a Shield Booster.
