i heared that there r micro smartbombs which can be fitted on frigates.
does NE1 have some for sale or know which pirates drop em so i can got hunting?

Micro EMP/Graviton/Photon/Plasma smartbomb
Activation cost: 25Energy
Powergrid usage: 10Mw
CPU usage: 20Tf
Area of effect: 2000m
Duration: 10s
Damage: 22EM/20KI/20EX/20TH

I had no idea there would be any demand, I have looted dozens and just recycle them.
I will have to try selling a few. They are useful as a misle defense as well as a weapon.

They require Science II, Energy Weapons, and perhaps another a skill to operate. If the range has been increased on them, might be worth the cost... otherwise I think they're only good for recycling.

throwing them on teh market wont help cause they wont show up. seem to be borked a bit.
i need a EM and 1 other type. if NE1 is willing to sell em, plz send me an ingame mail ("deb dukar").

Been using the thermal version, it's ok I guess... saves a little ammo, but I wouldn't use it anywhere too dangerous.
But the effect looks damn nice, :-)

Its an ok bomb to take out shields, very good for strategy use in the future when you fight with your corp to corp... In a massive battle you can have 2 to 10 tristans or frigates be equipted with them and take out the shields by using these bombs.
Its about going in fast with a frigate, drop you bomb and retreat to base.

I like 'em. I use mine as a quick 'n' dirty anti-missile system. It's saved my ass on many occasion.
The one I've been using is a Micro Rudimentary Concussion Bomb, it's got slightly lower reqs than the others (the ones I've seen so far at least) so it's not as much of a pain to fit.

They do work well, in antimissile role, and as a light close range weapon.
Funny story reguarding this too.
I was in (system deleted) jumping back and forth across region borders checking to see if i could find some decent trade route to run in my industrail (badger).
I had been beboppng for about 5-6 trips, when i get approached by a condor. This guy says "this system is mine, pay or die".
Heh (like he was a real threat), i snickered at him, and he opened up. He didn't have very good weapons, cause by the time i got his shield to 50% with my 75mm railgun, he barely had me to 80% shields.
He finally got into microbomb range (2k) and i hit it off.
He goes "WTF!", runs for gate and jumped out.
It was so funny, I was still chuckling several ours later. I mean it isn't like the 20 points really hurt him, but the graphic is pretty cool looking, guess he was just surprised.
Oh and for those who have not messed with any of the smartbombs yet, they are perfect for those ships with extra higslots, that are not available to weapons.

Hehe! I just love when people posts funny stories about their adventures.
Great post! and really funny about the uses of smartbomb.
We usually use them on indies in higsec systems to take out pesky small pirates in the fields , they dont hurt much but are annoying!

agreed, I enjoy reading peoples stories too :)
I'll save the one of my own stupidity, almost lost my cruiser to 4 invaders, because i was not paying attentiong to my targetting, and wasted 80 medium Am rounds on an asteroid with a death wish :)

It isn't a true bomb, IE there are no multple charges.
It is a device that causes an area blast, powered by your capacitor.
So you can only load one into a slot, but it fires recharges, fires recharges etc etc
