Just wondering why CCP have put up another fourm for people with accounts only. You seem to be alienating prospective new players and your also making it somewhat confusing for new people as to which boards to post on.
Plz get ride of the new account subscribers fourms or make them more visable to Players when they log on to the site. Not much use in having em if ya can't find em.

There are boards out there for none-players too. Notlike it's impossible to get Eve information withou purchasing the game.
The thing that annoys me is that theykept the same crappy boards as they were using before. When they said new boards I was kind of hoping that they'd find new BBS software. One with a search function, at least!

IM glad this forum is up - the other forum is just too packed with junk, and that makes it slow to use. Unfortunatly we will of course see some junk here too.
There is no way that this will just be an ass-suck forum but at least now we wont have to put up with whining from people that have no stake. If someones moaning here they at least have paid for the right to do so.

Because most topics was made from non gamers. And alot of them was whine/crappy/this suck posts. ;)

Well in Neverwinter Nights they essentialy had a system like this.
Initialy the forums didn't have this feature, but within a month or two it did.
This had pro's and cons, but the rpo's literally smothered the cons.
The rule is basically: ANYONE can read, only paying customers can post on every forum.
CCP has kept the old public forums probably so people who DON:T have the game can talk with people who do have the game, thus potentialy helping Sales ETC.
This other board is for the paying customer, a person who statistically will have more constructive remarks because as someone said, they have a stake in the game.
In NWN durring the first few weeks of release the boards where SWAMPED with flaming trolls all over the place, just like EVE was and has been since release day.
As soon as NWN started the paid customer boards, the number of whine posts and flames, died off in the paid boards, and where free to flourish in the free baords.
the point is, It really apeared to work very well.
the compnay can focus money and time on the paying customer (the ones who in the end are potentialy more important).
And the players get a more friendly place to talk about a common interest.
go visit the NWN forums sometime and see for yourself. The paid member forums are literally a delight to partake in, and what flaming DOES go on, is much more tolerable, and more opinion oriented than insult oriented, if that makes any sense.
It would be like *****ing about how the game sucks... Or *****ing about how you prefer to see more players play normal races instead of Drow all the time. It's a subtle difference, but a meaningful one.

I prefer these forums for one reason.
If there are complaints and issues raised here, it will be by people who are actually playing Eve Online, and not by people who simply want to throw in their 2 cents.
Perhaps the non-Eve posters have good points to make - in fact, they probably do. However, I'd rather read posts by actual Eve players who have a stake in the game, and not someone who is voicing an opinion just because they can.
Helps weed out a lot of unnecessary posts, I think. *shrug*

Except for one locked thread, this was the last thread in the General Discussion forum.
And I just ruined it all, now noone will ever find it by clicking 'last page'.
On a sidenote, making certian parts of the forums open, or making a new public one might be nice for potential new customers.
