Like the topic says, I think that livestock and genetically enhanced cattle should reproduce in the hangar. Nothing exponential, just a flat rate. (a couple dozen a month)

You going to buy feed and hey for them too? Maybe hire some farm hands to take care of them and make sure they stay healthy?
Maybe setup a ranch inside the hanger?

Yeah, just put some wheat in there...maybe a few slaver hounds to keep them in line, why not.

How quickly do you think cow's calve? It takes 9 months for one to grow.
Do you really hold onto them that long?

Well, honestly, what else are you going to do besides sell them? For now they just mill around the hangar deck, foraging for food among the deck plates and bothering the crews.

So what about marines? I have lots of them in station, and frozen food totoo feed them. they can tc of the lifestock, and after all in army also women, after 9 month have 1 marine more.
btw, food should get old if not frozen, computer parts outdated, etc??

I've been trying to run my own Homeless farm through breeding Homeless People with Science Graduates to produce Homless Science Graduates that would THEN build me an army of robot monkies in exchange for wine.
So far everyones just been sitting around not doing alot despite introducing some exotic dancers. 
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

if they ever make it so you can take over planets and teraform them customer goods might be able to be made from them, such as sending cattle there then getting more back, hireing soldiers to keep the peace, amarr importing slave labor ect. that could be a massive undertaking.

the concept is quite nice but i have actualy a way to counteract this sugestion from both a roleplay prespective and a logical prespective..
logical is that it would mean that those with alot of it will make them literly produce another income of isk.. altho nice this can be quite exploiteable if the variable increased the more lifestock you had.. if it was a fixed number.. say 5lifestocks per day.. i'd think it would be nice..
from a roleplay prespective each "unit" of lifestock is not nessisarely just 1 animal.. infact it can be 100'eds of thousends of animals.. increasing and decreasing as the time goes on but ultimatly maintaining the same volume...

if you're going to have them reproducing, presumably they will also have to eat...
but beyond that, as anyone knows, what goes in, must come out... (for want of a more colorful way to phrase it  )
so here we come to, are you going to clean the stalls for the four-legged-hamburger-kits-to-be?
can't exactly take the easy route and just explosively decompress the cabin as the cows likely won't appreciate being popped like leather balloons…
I guess CCP could set up another part of the game similar to ice mining and ore mining where you use a laser to dispose of the “beef byproducts” since obviously every mundane task has to be done with lasers in the future (although the laser spoon never really caught on I hear).

Yeah, I know a guy who lost a jaw to one of those, couldn't eat normally till he was podded & cloned.

as to what you can do with them, lets slaughter the lot. i feel like having a bbq, with copious smounts of beer.....
trouble is do i really want to light a bbq with all this methane gas around...... why not......BANG.....clone replica activated..... dont forget to get a new clone.

take 500 units of livestock, add 100 units of wheat, get 750 units of livestock, plus 500 units of manure. use manure to grow more wheat.... Wait, I already do this IRL....

Hmm. How about a biodome for poses, where you can farm them.
Requires food+medicine, and perhaps quafe ultra, for some...
I think while in station everything is in cryogenic ice anyways...

I like this idea. It might be interesting to use trade & consumer goods to mirror the t2 production system and let people do interesting things with combinations of goods from across the empires. Farming is just the beginning...
Oh, and it would be nice to be able to order my legions of marines around

Oh, man just think of the posibilities, cows with freaking T2 lasers on their horns. They would be twice as effective as Sharks with fearking T1 lasers.
