I would like to personally welcome all new pod pilots to the EVE Forums. I know that here you will find some of the warmest, kindest, and most helpful people on the internet, or anywhere else.
Remember we were all new players at some point, and you should never feel that any question isn't worth asking.
Good luck to all of you during your EVE career, and beyond.

Thanks for the warm welcome...so a very quick question...the 'rookie Help' has disappeared from the in-game chat window! Does this now mean I'm no longer a rookie out in New Eden?
A quick note re all the Forums, Thanks to all the seasoned Eve players and devs for the New starter threads....an essential read to get you from 14 day trail to earning some isk and flying across the lens without stabilisers!

The 'rookie help' channel disappears automaticaly after one month. If you still have questions you can use the forums or the regular 'help' channel ingame. |

Is there any way to join it again after 1mo? Or is it closed? |

I have to say I have been very impressed with the helpful attitude of players in the rookie help channel, much friendlier than another, lesser MMO that I could mention... |

However, I forgot to mention that there are a lot of other channels ingame where you can find the help you need.
The official 'help' channel HelpMyMission for all your missioning questions.
Don't forget to join a good player corp. They can give you all the advice you need. Don't stay in the starter NPC-corp. |

I would agree, and strongly recommend Eve University to any new player
Please see alliance & corp recruitment forum for more details

He is very correct in this. The game is designed to be a group activity although you can go at it alone when missioning etc. However finding a player corp can REALLY cut your learning curve and enhance the FUN curve to maximum degrees.
You will also find that groups work to bolster one another and when someone takes a loss others pitch in to help. You find this especially in null sec corps who are used to fighting and losing ships and know how to keep their isk up and losses low. I firmly suggest new players get with null sec corps/alliances who can help you more 1 on 1. Don't forget, this is a wargame at heart, i'm a mix of pvp, industrialist, and miner. Knowing how to train for what you want to do is important.
E-Uni (Eve University) is open to all new and experienced players and they are widely regarded as a premier "noob" training player corp. I was never in them, but everyone speaks very highly of them.
United Aerospace Co-op also helps quite a few off their feet.
IMO, anyone posting an answer to your question you should most likely add them to your contacts and maybe emial them in game if you think they have something to offer that you may enjoy. It's our sandbox, swish it around and meet some good folks.
Fly safe, and post your questions, many good folks are here to help. |

Well we are, in the newbie forums at least where everyone has to at least act like we're civil.

I wouldn't suggest 0.0 to new people. You should definitely get at least a month if not more of Empire experience first so you can learn basic game mechanics. 0.0 can be brutal and going in with no resources and no skills will make you easy pickings and probably make you frustrated enough that you quit, especially with the new 0.0 taking effect. |
