Here it goes!
the Maelstrom needs a complete redesign. Minmatar was never about 'mad' tanking, and in that department the Abbadon and Rokh has it beat.
A lump of a ship that relies on guns with the speed and manuverability of a Raven. A ship thats much more expensive to buy and fit than the Tempest and barely has it beat in long range fire, and left in the dust at closerange.
The bonuses should be changed to speed and sig radius decrease, and its mass should be lowered and speed increased to 140m/s base! the slotlayout is fine as it is!
Also CCP promised to change the way fleetcombat works ... So its very much impossible to wrap my head around them making 3 out of 4 tier3 BS classic fleetships!
Since this is how its done I make mine own Maelstrom thread, since it seems that the more whiney *****y threads there is about a new ships the greater the chance of a boost.
Apparently its about quantity not quality .. also some of the very best minmatar arguers have been banned from these forums, so its tough to compete... But Ill try!
I dont remember I dont recall I dont have memory of anything at all! |

All i can say about the Maelstrom is 8 Miner II 4tw.
Its good for nought else.

Change bonus to cargo- and miner boost

I agree with you though, it needs a defined role. Atm it seems like its gonna b one of them jack of all trades ship. I wish they would make it clear if its supposed to b a AC of Arty ship.

its horrible, i predict it to be the new least flown Battleship in eve, and if it isnt then only because of ppl buying it for mining

Redesign please. With the current stats, there is no point at all to release this ship.
