When you get an agent they will give you another agent after a few missions. But, you can stay with the same agent and they will keep giving you agents, and eventually a level 2 agent.
I just stayed with a good level 1 agent till I got a level 2. I made the mistake of changing agents, not realising they would give me more.
hope this is of some use to someone

Good call.
I have a high quality lvl1 agent, and I must have done 60-70 jobs for him before he gave me something worth using.
Which was a lvl2 agent, also very high quality. I did my 105th mission for her this morning. I'd done about 60 before the lvl3 agents were finally put in, but at about 80-85 missions, she gave me a level 4 :) (I can't use her though, she's telling me to come back later (when CCP give her some jobs, I guess))
So, if you've got a good stash of agent goods, and your agent is of good quality, stick with them. .

Speaking of "Quality" Agents... What does the quality of the agent mean exactly? I have four agents that I am working with and the one with the lowest quality seems to be the best one to do jobs for. Plus he can help me find the location of folks with bounties on their heads.
Any input?
Cheers.

I beleive the agent quality is their standing towards other agents.
I'm about 99% sure, but if someone could confirm this ...

I think you are right. An agent with a high quality is likely to know more agents, or maybe just better agents. Either way, better to have an excellent agent than a poor one. .

I just got another lvl 1 agent, this time in the same corp again, kinda bad standing with that one tho. IŠve got one lvl 1 agent from an other corp before that....what is the real purpose of that? The current lvl 2 agent that I keep doing missions for (good standing and all) pays pretty well...but IŠve been unable to get another lvl 2 agent or lvl 3 for that matter. IŠve done about 45 missions for that agent, but I dont know if I want to keep doing them :/. Whats the best thing really to do, stick around or what? __________________________________________________________ |

The acquisition of agents seems very random. I have heard of people getting a heap of level 1 agents and no level 2. Yesterday I had 2 level 1 agents. My agent I recieved from the tutorial agent (agent1-A) and an agent I recieved from agent1-A (agent1-B). After doing more missions for agent1-A I was given a level 3 agent. So, I have never had a level 2 agent. Is this a bug? I had assumed it was necassary to progress through the agent levels without skipping any.

It seems like it's pretty random, and thus it's not nice... :( I have already a whole bunch of lvl 1 agents, and only one agent of lvl 2, though this 2nd lvl agent have provided me with contact to 1st lvl agents in other corps.
By the way, is there any way to remove agents from the list of agents at the in-station interface?!?!?! It's easy to remove them from address book, but it doesn't help. I'd rather keep all agents in my address book, but remove some from the list at the stations, as it clatters valuable space too much.
P.S. In my last mission the agent has promised to give me "small money pig" on successful completion in time. I did complete it in time, but I didn't get "small money pig". I wanna have it, so I'll show it around... =) _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

Yes, I have seen it mentioned in mission reward only once, and it's understandable it is a joke, but still... I wanna have it. =) _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

last night I changed agents, I had a lvl1 from another corp, so I thought I'd try to get my foot in the door. My standing with her is definitely increasing though, which is good.
More details as information becomes available. .

In the short term, there's probably no advantage to moving to an agent in a different corp.
Long-term, it will be of great benefit to have good standing with multiple corps. Agent missions up to even Lv3 have kinda lame rewards (I can make FAR more mining than what I've heard L3 missions give), but they are an investment for the future when you want to go for Lv4 and Lv5 agents. ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |

... I'd say quality have to do with how much agent-respect you gain from each mission..
look at the what it says: Quality: Awesome (agent +15%, faction +9%)
Quality: Mediocre (Agent 16%, Faction +9%)
(don't ask me why Awesome is less than Mediocre, though) they're both level1 agents.

zink, ignore the agent rating, just pick the one in the best location. (picking the best location is experience-based, but you'll pick it up in the end). .
