i like to ask how long is the T2 profit margin for, mod , ammo and ship which is the highest and lowest? thk or what are your choice to build mod, ammo, or ship ( let say you have the bpo for each type of them so BPO cost don't count just mat cost) |

Assuming you're inventing, it varies greatly among them. I'm no master of T2 production, but as rule I've found T2 products in the price ranges of 6M - 50M will generally turn a good profit. Here's why: Ammo and many modules can be invented with a generally high rate of success and manufactured with relatively small capital investment and, importantly, skill prerequisites. That means that just about everyone can produce a lot of ammo and mods quickly, and although these items sell fast, markets are generally always saturated with them, and profit margins will be relatively low. On the other hand, T2 battleships require more skills and money to invent and manufacture, and significantly lower rates of success: plus, in any given hub (except maybe Jita), you'll be hard pressed to see more than 5 sell in a day. While you can sometimes eke out a decent profit on an individual ship, they can take a week or more to sell, and you could've made more money with the capital tied up in the ship in the mean time.
Personally, I invent "mid-range" T2: More expensive modules as well as frigates and T2 destroyers. These ships have a prohibitive skill cost (to manufacture, at least), and fairly expensive monetary invention and production costs, as well. They sell pretty well though, so even though there is some competition, enough people are buying these ships to make them profitable.
A caveat, though: ALWAYS check to see if making your own T2 components is cheaper than buying them from the market. 95% of the time it is, and to make any decent profits at all you have to do this as well. |

But the OP... isn't...
And considering it's the T2 BPO market I'd heavily question any advice you might be given on the forums |

to be fair it depends on the BPO. I havent looked in a while but the last three I looked at that I still have the spreadsheet for, and at the time it was 5814 and 4912 (Assualt frigates) and 17115 ( rail guns) individual units. (and that was assuming then current prices for ships medium rails and materials.

Last I checked, most decryptors are going to put the ME of a BPC at around -3 to -6. If I understand negative ME correctly, this will get you 30-60% extra wastage on top of the normal 10% at ME 0.
So in conclusion your costs should be at most 1/1.4 to 1/1.7 of the price you see for T2 on the market. From there you get profitability. |

At this point, a large part of the value of T2 BPOs is as collectibles. A few have low prices that aren't too out of whack for say a trillionaire who doesn't have time for making real investments. Payback periods (the length of time a well run BPO takes to pay back its cost) of four years or less, let's say. But there are some that don't make sense as pure manufacturing tools under any context. I've seen BPOs with payback periods of decades or even money losers at the time (though presumably they wouldn't stay money losers forever).

The usual ROI for T2 BPO's these days is 3 years upwards.
People use T2 BPO's also as speculation though to resell them later with a profit.
Since CCP stated again (just recently at Fanfest) that they have no plans whatsoever to remove T2 BPO's, such speculation is not that risky. Only risk can come from a change in game mechanics, but that's it. |

A Return of Investment equation is usually a percentage number, which shows how good or bad an investment is.
What you mean is the break even point of a T2 BPO, which is totally absurd, because after those three years the BPO has still a value and can be sold ... maybe not for the initial investment ... but still the value will not be zero!
Example 1- T2 BPO: Initial investment: 20B Profit over a year of T2 production: 6B Final sell value of the BPO: 15B
simple ROI equation = 6B / (20B - 15B) = 120%
Example 2 - T1 BPO: Initial Investment: 500M Profit over a year of Drake production: ~4B Final sell value of the BPO: 0 - you keep it
ROI = 4 / 0.5 = 800%
Where example 1 might generate more profit (2B more) you have to bind more capital over the duration of a year.

what you actually want is a ROCE - return on capital employed. Which is the return you get from the capital invested. on this measure a t2 blueprint gives a pretty decent return. however - unless you also use that with some other measure- then you are a bit dumb. because chances are that at some time CCP are going to come along and change the way t2 BPO work. when they do the value of your original capital is likely to change significantly. |
