ok, all the setups i keep seeing are sayin things like medium lasers n stuff, am i wrong in assuming all the frigs and AF's are made to be used in conjunction with the small cannons, light's and turets? cuz if so, ive wasted training time. also, are there any decent retribution pve setups? the stickied threads arent always too usefull.

Some small Amarr weapons have 'medium' in the name, eg: Medium Beam Laser, 16cpu/20pg.
I think that's what you're referring to.

hehe easy mistake to make i guess. Medium pulse lasres for instance are a small turret. They are the largest small pulse laser. The largest medium pulse laser is a heavy pulse and the larges large is a mega pulse laser.
So when you see a setup using Medium pulses it is using the largest small pulse laser turret.
Fairly standard setup:
Highs:
4x med pulses (t2 if u can but if you use t1 pulses you can then fit a small NOS)
Med:
1x AB (t2 or best named, hell even a gisti if u wanna splash out)
Lows:
2x capacitor power relay
1x Small Armor Rep t2
1x Heat Sink t2
1x thermal hardner

For lasers the term "medium" does not refer to the size of the gun but to its name, as in Medium Pulse Laser which is actually a frig-sized gun.

The Grid requiements of medium beam lasers are almost cruiser sized, and small laser damage on armor is shuttle sized. Just fit projectils instead and enjoy free grid, better damage types and no cap use at no cost...
