I just got the Trainz: A New Era in the mail this week  , and I have to say it makes me appreciate CCP that much more. 
EVE Online and CCP are the best IMHO, some times I grumble, but when compare to another company one really can see how much I like EVE and CCP
You guys are first class. 
Trainz no so much.  (nice tin box though)

Well, considering that one game is about flying spaceships 10,000 years in the future and one is a train/railroad simulator, its safe to assume...

I have tried multiple versions of the simulator through the years. Every time I was sure this time it would be really good. I bought and downloaded the latest version ( T:ANE ) but couldn't even be bothered to install it, after reading some of the "reviews". I swear this is the last time I payed for anything N3V releases. I agree with your opinion about CCP and EvE Online.

Oh man, I'm having a Trainz flashback here. Going all the way back to the first version, I think. Intermixed with some later versions. Because they are all about interchangeable and the same. It's kind of like in Johnny Memnonic, that scene where something went wrong with Keanu's brain chip thing.

Maybe they could do it like they guys who operate virtual airlines using MS Flight Simulator. You know, fly all of British Airways's actual routes. Don't be late and ruin your airlines' on-time arrival percentage. Serious business.
So, for your Trainz MMO, you have a giant map, with tracks covering ground to stations and depots. No more going around on a small map in circles! Some players are dispatchers, who control route traffic. Some are switchers, who switch switches to prevent crashes. Some are engineers driving the trains. (Sub-profession: Engineer who puts together train consists in the yard). Complete missions to earn Gold for new locomotives, flatcars, gondolas, skins, etc. Or just buy them in the Microtransactions Depot. Awesome!

Well I got it to work, all patched up. My Computer sucks. Had to turn down some of the settings. the patch was huge, remind me of the old days of EVE. It will take a few months to iron out bugs, I hope.
