Hi,
I've just recently started playing on my account again after being unemployed for 6 months. I logged on and got in touch with an old eve pal and he requested that I join his corp. On my way to their headquaters in 0.0 space I lost my Uninshured Scorpion battleship, the only real assett I had. I didn't think to check whether it was insured as I was sort of a newb after not playing for a long time. Anyway here goes. I am sending out a plea, if any one is generous and trusting enough to loan me some ISk to help get me back on my feet I would really appreciate it and I would repay anyone who helps me double the amount of the loan as soon as I have it. I realise that their are a lot of scammers and beggers in EVE so I don't expect much help, but I give you my word Iwill not scam you, it's really down to whether you feel you can trust me or not. Anyway thanks for reading and take care.

Edit: Get a smaller ship then? The payout from the Scorpion insurance should buy you a Ferox or Caracal at least.

It's highly unlikely a stranger will offer you anything, no matter how honest you sound. Try asking to someone that knows you, such as your friend or the people on the corp you were going to join.

Edited by: Ekscalybur on 25/11/2006 18:03:20 You were on your way to alliance space, aren't your money troubles basically over? Aren't alliances a 'you help them, they help you' sorta thing? I'm sure they'll give you a ship, and by earning your keep you should be well on your way to replacing or even upgrading that Scorp.

What do you mean, i'm not in an alliance, are you talking about the corp i'm in now. I've just joined them and have nothing to offer. Anyway it's ok, times are hard, but i'm sure things will pick up. Thanks anyway I was expecting this sort of reply. x

One thing you'll find in EVE is that almost all of us work for our money, so just asking for free isk is at best going to get you a lot of "no"s, and at worst see you flamed to a smoking crisp for begging.
You might want to ask your friend for some help as it was him that asked you to come out to his corp's HQ, kinda his bad.

If your new corp dont trust you enough to buy a ship for you why should anyone else?
Smells like a bad scam, like the 'Oh no I put something worth 500 bil on escrow for 500k, can someone help me', just without the hope to make some real isk.

This should be a compulsory message for all pilots upon their first undock attempt.
Its a system message saying "Can you afford to lose this"
It pops up before every:
Undock, Warp, Jump, Aggresvie action
It only goes away once the user has put their fist through the PC screen, at which point nothing appears anymore.

What about trust into yourself and starting mining, trading and mission-running? All I've earned (and also lost ;-)in EVE until today is of my own making. I don't like these begging posts.
Kind regards
