nope, as mentioned above you would make a new corp. Additionally, you can never reopen the old corp. If you want to keep the old corp name, you would transfer it to an alt. |

Protips:
Don't call it anything having to do with production, manufacturing, mining or anything industrially related.
Don't say what it is you do in your corp description either.
Plan on having to defend yourself or don't form a corp until you can.

This is not entirely correct.
When you close a corporation, The name of the corporation is up for grabs. Letter for letter, it can be exactly the same as the old, closed corporation. The Catch is that you can never reuse the Corp Ticker of Any corporation. Once created, it is locked to that corp.

Huh. I didn't know that before. It implies certain things about the nature of the database. And I'm not sure it's the best design. It implies that corp ticker is part of a composite key. And seems like a really bizarro-choice. I'm sure there are or were reasons, so I don't mean this in a hypercritical way. But it seems weird to me.
