Right now a Nyx can carry 2.5m m3 of assembled ships and an Erebus can carry 5m m3 of assembled ships. This is fun and all, but supers need a new role and alliances need a new way to move all their crap. What if supers had incredibly massive maintenance bays?
Specifically, make Titans 1b M3 assembled, then give them 500m m3 of ship space. Meanwhile super carriers become 100m m3 and get 50m m3 of ship space.
When we project this out, Titans can carry 4 or so super carriers, and super carriers can carry around twenty dreads/carriers. All supers can now carry an army of sub caps.
This allows a single Titan or Super Carrier to have fight altering effects on grid and off, but can be counter-played by podding your adversaries. It also requires that players spend obscene amounts of isk to acquire those benefits. Opening the door to utterly terrifying killmails where a single Titan is worth 300b.
On the logistics front, this move would allow alliances to leverage a single move to move all of their assets. Mixed with the phoebe jump nerfs moves are no longer trivial. So while moves would be a lot more efficient, they still soak up lots of time. Catching an alliance mid-move op could also literally break them, making move ops even more exciting targets. |

Possibly cool idea but my vote would be for a littttttle bit less on the capacity size...
No super-carriers inside titans.

Honestly, it's a good idea in terms of "need a new suitcase".
However I think it's a bad idea for the existing supers, perhaps a fat bowhead variant as a new ship - but the current ones should have a more meaningful combat role. |
