When running the Hacking minigame, the EVE client experiences a general slowdown in responsiveness. Framerate drops significantly, and clicking the hacking nodes has significant delay. When the minigame completes, normal performance and framerate resumes.
Video of Issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I46Gua5fntk
This seems to happen most after the client has been running for a few hours, so it may be related to a memory leak. It is usually resolved by restarting the client.
I've had this again recently, and I checked on my open Bug Report (EBR-38901) - it has had no progress or updates, and has been opened since 06/02. Bug was logged with full LogServer data, as well as GameLogs.
Would like to know if anyone else has experienced this issue. If it's a more common issue, it may get more attention and be resolved faster.

If you've had this issue, please log a bug report IN GAME using the F12 option - this is apparently required. Bonus points if you can attach LogServer and obtain data from that as well. Instructions: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Log_Server
Please post your EBR number here so we can gather metrics on players who have seen this issue.

I am the one who was looking at your report. I really, really need some more in game reports of this as well as other running software so I can start to correlate possible causes as unfortunately this is one of those issues that is not reproducible by us internally. I'll watch here for further reports and to work with them when they come in.

Unfortunately only logs I have received are from yourself Ransu, and Joey Judas. For the latter, Joey Judas the log you attached was from before you started hacking. Can you please report the bug from within the client when you next encounter this?
Just hit F12, then go to Report Bug and fill in the details.
To Ransu Asanari, I cannot see anything wrong right now, and I have no other information to try and correlate patterns to. Can you double check your NVIDIA control panel settings for me, have you changed anything in there yourself for Global or EVE applications? Namely anti-aliasing, Vertical sync, maximum rendered frames etc.

There are no specific graphics settings for EVE. I haven't done any tweaking from the NVidia Control Panel at all.
EVE isn't a Geforce Experience Certified Game, so there isn't a custom profile that can be set for the game anyway. |
