Nah the worst idea of a game,
Make a world, similar to the current world. More fantasy, throw in orcs, elves and all other LOTR races. Make it look really childish and make sure everyone can win...no one ever loses no matter what. Make the PVP the worst thing of all cause thats no fun anyway. And call it, world of warcraft...

Some info in the original post might be a little helpful, but regardless, rubbish as it sounds, you gotta look at the market it's aimed at. How many people play "The Sims 2"? Most popular game ever or some such. Dance Dance Revolution in the arcade...probably the most popular, played and ripped off coin-op around. They're obviously aiming to combine the two in a bizarre blend. The scary thing is it may just work.
And as for the above jibe at WoW...though I haven't played it (nor do I intend to) and am an Eve subscriber, isn't it a bit unfair to label it the worst game ever when it's got millions of subrscribers and is the most popular MMO in existence? They must be doing something right to get and keep such a high level of players. It might not be the game for you, but sometimes the numbers do speak for themselves.
