Like I said before I run an e7200 with a hd5770 1 GB card at max settings on one client without lag (1920x1080). Now once a fleet of 70 or ships start shooting at each other I start to lag and part of it is due to the hard drive. His graphics card is basically on par with the 5770 so it should provide similar performance. Unless he's trying to run at 4k in which case he is skimping in the wrong area. What I think is wrong is he isn't running the proper driver for his card. He keeps talking about using integrated graphics which is NOT what the gtx 650 is. You need to uninstall the intel HD graphics driver and properly install the Nvidia driver. Having both drivers installed can cause massive performance issues as the integrated graphics fights with the graphics card for control. Windows very well could be handing off to the integrated graphics once eve starts. DO NOT rely on windows update to get you the proper driver for your graphics card. Doing so can cause all kinds of performance issues. If you're worried about installing the proper driver for the card then just download the NVIdia geforce experience and let it handle the driver install. AFTER you completely uninstall the intel HD graphics driver stuff.

The system itself should suffice. This onboard video solution should in no way work better than the 650.

Your pc is using the integrated card instead the gtx 650. Go there http://www.geforce.co.uk/geforce-experience/download and then follow the instructions.

Should also check bios to make sure it's not set to use the integrated graphics. Should be set to use the pcie graphics. |

You need to go to Nvidia control panel > Manage 3D settings > Program settings > Eve.exe
The second option allows you to select your GPU.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX650 1GB OC PCI-E Full name of card.
ALSO:
1: I do not speak about using integrated card. I said I am NOT using it. (For a living I used to be programmer, then webdesigner - now tired of it so work with anything but computer..:)
2: On memory settings, with addition of some tweaks upgrading graphics, I now run smooth. As previously stated.
3: Me and my friend ran tests and it was indeed the memory on graphic card(stated in previous post)
Problem is as I told you guys solved. I cannot run highest settings, but pretty close to it with no issues.
I do have to say - this board is probably the most helpfull gaming board I ever visited. You guys are AWESOME :)

I still think your problem lies in the drivers - either graphics or chipsets or sound drivers, considering your fresh install. It is in no way related to your video cards memory, you don't need 2GB card to run EVE. My 560 Ti has just one GB and I can still run modern games with it, like the Tomb Raider reboot on almost full settings (I think only hair simulation is off and shadows at medium).
If you think it's the memory, then they are broken and you indeed need a new card, but I would suggest thoroughly removing current drivers and reinstalling all of them in a clean install. And it could be that Windows has downloaded a driver for your GPU among all the other updates coming, and you could have missed it - Windows Update tries to push me Nvidia drivers every once in a while for some reason but I untick and hide these updates. Meaning you could have two drivers conflicting eachother, leading to the problems you have mentioned. |

I don't think it's a driver issue, I think it was just the HDR and Resource Cache toggles.

I have one system that runs eve at 3840 x 1200 with max settings on a 1GB gtx 650. No problems
It dies when I start a second client though. |

Something's completely buggered with your rig.
I run EvE flat out...every setting on High with HDR @1920 X 1080 on a 27" LG IPS panel...on an e8500-based rig.
e8500 slightly OCd to 4Ghz on a 780i xfx motherboard
8 gigs of RAM
760 GTX (which I put in to run other games with, EvE ran fine, flat out, on a 5-series card)
No SSD, decent Raptor HDD
And this is more machine than is needed to run EvE at really visually pleasing levels. It's just simply not hard on systems.

Still, it is not the drivers and I do not have any issues as explained 3-4 times now :)
We did a test as explained and we saw with our own eyes the memory was the bottleneck on full settings. You can read about this about 4 posts from this one from me.
I see lot of people still think it is drivers and suck, but it is not. For experience, I have worked within IT most of my life and before that I was a bit of a famous hacker in the 90thies..:P My friend who ran the tests with me is head of IT department in our local government. This issue is solved - I promise :)
Now, if this is because of the graphic cards settings and such, I am not sure. I see one says she/he has higher res than me and everything maxed out on the exact same card. However those cards are delivered with OEM machines - as mine is. Some are tuned more than others. Mine is probably not tuned at all. I will look tomorrow and tune it up a bit if it is not already. It is so little more power I need to be able to go maxed out on settings.. So little..
