Edited by: Axzim on 29/11/2006 14:52:07 Whats a good way to go about finding a Decent Player corp. I'm Returning to the game after a long hiatus and I'm used to the WoW way of doign things.
You can't exactly run around a main city and see dozens of people walking around in EVE as far as I can tell.
Any help would be apprieciated.

Edited by: Matalino on 29/11/2006 14:56:30 Try the Recruitment forum or the in-game recruitment channel.
Beyond that it depends on what you are looking for. Just ask around and you should be able to find some people.

You could ask around in the Jita local channel.

Right on thanks man.
Yeah I'm mostly interested in Combat and potentially PVP. I used to be a Miner / Fighter Pilot but I lost interest in mining pretty fast.
I head Eve university is pretty good for giving you some basic training on PVP and stuff. I've been away from the game for a long time, so I thought it might be a good idea to get a refresher, (expecially since I never really got into much PVP back in the day).
I know I have all the basic skills and basic understand of game mechanics, but will they help me beyond that, or should I just skip straight to a Decent Corp and Re-learn as I go?

I don't know what the new tutorials are like but I would think that finding a player corp and learning as you go would be far more interesting and far faster.

I tend to agree with that.
As far as the new tutorials, they haven't taught me anything really that I didn't already know from like 2 years ago.
I suppose I'll start looking in Recruitment channels for good corps. Are there good regions to look or does that not matter?

The recruitement channel is global, so it won't matter what region you are in. When you find a corp that you are interested in you can move to whatever region they are in.

Cool thanks a lot.
I'm looking forward to getting back into the game. Hopefully I'll see some of you around (hopefully not through your crosshairs).

I'd personally try the Recruitment forums, just make sure you clearly state what assets/skills your character has, what you're looking for in a corp, things like that. The more detailed your profile is, and the more time you take to sell yourself, the better a chance of finding a good corp will be as it'll give you them a taste of your personality beyond just your basic info.
