Please bring back the old scorpion / rattlesnake model. Ever since the change ive been very sad and annoyed, but i bit my tounge and got on with it. However the other day in jita i saw a rattlesnake and i remembered "I use to own one, WHEN IT WAS BETTER LOOKING!!". It makes me sad to know that my favorite ship is gone for ever  .
Anyway bring back the old model, let me relive the good old days once more.

Scorpion now looks like a Scorpion...
though the 'Snake is sort of oddly named now.
All in all, New model > old model in all respects.

Old Scorpion was menacing, and while it could use a V3 update it was very much Caldari. new Scorpion is made by someone who severely lacks imagination; "I know what we'll do, it's called a Scorpion so we'll make it LOOK like one too. Who cares if it doesn't fit the Caldari design language BURN EVERYTHING DOWN, OUT WITH THE OLD!!!".
A V3ed old model Scorp would have been great.

I'm with the OP and the supporters on the matter.
The new design clearly isn't bad looking. However in my opinion a long term relationship doesn't need something that is cool and nice looking. It needs something that has s unique character, depth and is interesting. Exactly what the old Scorpion Model stood for.
I can't stop feeling the new design being boring and looking like a plastics toy after having looked at it for more then a few minutes. The old design I liked more the longer I looked at it. |

Denied, the current model looks to good.
I do wish there was somewhere we could go and see older models, like in the start of battlestar galactica when they opened up galatica as a museum. I'd say, hey that's a neat idea for ambulation, but they'd probably start charging aurum for it.

A V3ed old model Scorp would have been great.
It shows a great deal of imagination. it's a very clever realization of the design.
I personally look forward to ships of other races having the same kind of update treatment.

Graphicly symetrical ships look a lot better, ever notice why nearly evertyhing a human makes will always have a mirror left/right side. Its in our biology that it looks perfect. A lot of ships could use an overhaul and CCP could of spent more effort just cutting all the ships length wise, choose a right / left view then mirror it instead of making them V3 which was nothing but adding texture on top of the existing model (like the raven, still looks like crap even though it has awesome looking hard lines on it). No matter how much V3 work they did, pretty much all the ships look the same to me as they did before yet we got things like T3 StratCruiser, tier 3 battlecruiser, Scorpion, Maller hulls that don't resemble the rest of EVE anymore (maller sort of has the same shape, but its like saying the classic Volkswagon-bug from the 60's is the same as the mid 2000s. Basic ship, really different look) |

There's a huge problem with the new Scorpion model that all of you should quickly understand.
It's a Caldari ship. A Caldari symmetrical ship.
Symmetrical *and* Caldari at the same time.
This means that very soon, without a warning and without a doubt, the server is going to explode.
Fix it please! Fast!

People hate the asymetrical models and are constantly trying to get rid of them. I prefered the older model myself, but the new one is quite nice too so I can't complain. |

Eve started as a 2d game acutally that there was the interation afterwards and standard for long while.
Caldari ships had alot more curves than the current interations do.
Also the new ship is still aysemtrical its just only obvious in a few places.
However its not like the raven that could have easily gone full symetric to the dismay of many.
