Edited by: Fraglock on 29/11/2006 17:33:13 Since Revelations came out I am having some trouble keeping my cap up on my Zealot mainly because of the 25% increase to cap recharge time. Here is my setup maybe someone can give me a suggestion as to how to solve it.
High: 4x T2 Heavy Pulse Lasers 1x Dark Blood Medium Nos
Mid: 1x 10MN Domination Afterburner 1x Domination Stasis Web 1x T2 Cap Recharger
Low: 1x Corpum Medium A-Type Armor Repper 2x Corpum Energized A-Type Adaptive Nano 1x Corpum Energized A-Type Thermic Membrane 2x True Sansha Heat Sinks 1x True Sansha Cap Power Relay
I'm debating on getting rid of a Heat Sink and putting another Cap Power Relay. Although Damage is what the Zealot is made for. Anyone could give me a hand with this one that would be great.
:edit: There was a typo saying that I lost cap recharge time sorry.

You haven't "lost" any cap recharge. Your peak recharge rate is exactly the same as it was before. _____________________________________________

There is no 25% loss since they increased the total amount also.
Tbh i don't know how you are running out of cap with both a t2 rechargers AND a faction CPR...but I know what your solution is.(below) All i use is a cap recharger...and instead of a CPR in low, i use a DCU. Also my stuff is all t2, not faction lol.
Rigs.
2 t1 cap recharge rigs = 20% faster
2 t2 cap rigs = 30%

Get rid of the web, and add a med electro cap injecter Get rid of the CPR and add a tracking enhancer teck 2 Drop the med nos Drop the cap charger, and put in a scrambler
Rest is great, tho is this a pvp set-up? if not, disregared, lol

All i can say to this is they have changed something. In the past i could run my Apoc all the time with all weapons and running all hardener and the armor rep II at full time. Without running out of cap. Now i am going down to 0 Cap. So this 25% increase in Cap and cap recharge time did mess something up for sure. Else i wouldnt run out of cap.

Yes, I'm finding similar problems with my Armageddon and Apocalypse. Permatanks are no longer perma, even with using the new, BOOSTED named CPRs. Something is different, and I'm not sure what was changed, but it's making an already cap-hungry race (Amarr) even less viable.

Cap has not changed. The capacity change and recharge change counter each other giving exactly the same peak recharge. ---------

ohh and they nerfed Conflag ammo btw that might be your problem

Cap recharge * 25% less = before patch recharge time
335 * .75 = 251.25
I dont believe the Zealot before the patch had a decimal in the recharge time. Something seems wrong here. Anyone remember the before patch stock recharge time?

Your maths is faulty.
251.25*1.25 != 335
335/1.25 = 268, which is the pre-revelations cap recharge time.
Check your cap relays, some have been boosted. ----------------

Assuming Energy Managment 5 and Energy Systems Operation 5
Pre Rev:
268 * 0.75 = 201 1200 * 1.75 = 1500
1500 / 201 * 2.5 = 14.9 Peak Cap/sec
Post Rev
335 * 0.75 = 251.25 1500 * 1.25 = 1875
1875 / 251.25 * 2.5 = 18.6 Peak Cap/Sec
according to that your Peak Cap Recharge has gone UP. -------------------------------------

i agree at base you have the exact same peak recharge - when you apply skills (which if you fly a hac you should have at least to 4) the peak recharge is better post patch.
so the OP is wrong in saying the cap is now worse. -------------------------------------

No, peak recharge should not have changed since base recharge did not change.

yeah it seemed that it only happend for one day that my recharge rate was wrong. Now my cap recharge rate is back to normal. Must have been a small glitch or something. Anyways it back to normal.

^^ Agreed now, did LVL 4 "The Blockade" now no problems.
Before I was hardly able to take on lvl 3s without cap getting to low to fight safly, and also mine is a mission runner too, worth waay to much for PVP.
