It'll take some time to adjust to the new features but one that has really got my back up is the new map system. It is just so hard on the eyes. I liked the way the old system gave you an impression of how busy a sector was just by the amount of colour. Now, at most, there are just small blobs of colour that when you zoom out become so faint that I have to squint at the screen to see. The gray colour of the rest of the stars is so faint as well that it might as well be black. I don't use the 3D map but it seems I am being forced to as each time you enter the map system it defaults to 3D even though the button still says 'unflatten map'. How do obvious things like this get through QC I don't know.

Here's an interesting thing, if I switch to the system map and then back to the star map all the brightnesses are boosted and the map becomes readable. Come out of the map, go back in and its back to faint-o-vision.

Oh and another thing is that when I set a destination it doesn't show me the list of jumps and how many to get there!  This is really narking me off now. Does anyone know where to get this information as easily as I did before?

Ok, again if I switch to system map the information is back in the top left hand corner and then when I switch back to the star map it stays there. In that case why wasn't it there when I first went in! I don't mind changes but when sloppy and shoddy coding is allowed through there is no excuse.

Agreed, I think it was mentioned before. New map has nice features but bad visual!

When the last big patch came out a lot of us complained about the text changes making it harder to read. They never fixed it. CCP plays on a 10 foot screen, so there is nothing wrong with the display.
