I know that at first glimpse, the answer is no. But could somebody or several somebodys test this and report?
I had read somewhere that Concord would start protecting POS in .5 and up because it would help get more slots for research and invention.
Can somebody please check to see if there's any truth behind this rumor?

Even if you declare war on the corp who own the pos, and they dont take it down before the war is valid, shooting it when at war in high sec = concord response. Another wonderfull post patch bug :|

I like the idea to. Anyway, IMO, if someone wants to make the POS owners loose money, is a better idea to leave their empire POS running.

Does this mean if a pos attacks a neutral in high sec it gets attacked by concorde?

No, Empire POS's will never attack a non-agro..
The empire pos has 2 check box's for its defence tab.
A) return fire B) attack wardec's
Pre-rev you could attack a pos and concord would never show, now it seems concord shows, even if you are at war with the owner of the pos (making it valid)
Simply amazing. Id prefer Pre-rev, and I have hi-sec pos's

I do not know it almost makes sense that concord will show up even if war decd. If you are in Empire you need those charters so it is somewhat like leasing it from the empire you are in and I doubt they take kindly to anyone threatening something that is generating money for them. But I am a noob and no nothing about POS's so that is just my take on it

Yep, I confirmed that CONCORD will help out the POS in high sec if there is not a war dec. If you want visual proof to set your self at ease, contact me ingame and I'll bring my alt, POS Food in his Ibis of doom.
Watch how fast CONCORD responds compared to how fast your guns target.

I am left wondering if there was any word from CCP on this issue.
is this another unnounced change? is it a bug? is it a game mechanic that has worked improperly from the begining... that just got "fixed"... this is sort of irritating considering i just spend about 6 hours anchoring and onlining enough guns to take out significant fleet of battleships.
